I enjoy hefeweizens - they are probably among my favorite types of beer. As hefeweizens go, I thought this one was commendable! I've been looking forward to Joe's Garage as soon as the people at the brewery mentioned Batch 373 was their mystery beer in their spring mix! But instead of heading for one I've already had, I went for something I hadn't tried yet - hence, Circus Boy.
Circus Boy poured a golden color that was NOT transparent. It smelled like a typical hefeweizen - that citrusy aroma. The head was initially thick and took a few minutes to disappear. The head left some decent lacing, as well.
The taste was also citrusy. It was a very crisp taste. It left something of a carbonated feeling in your mouth, even after you swallowed it. It goes down smoothly. Very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the other two in the box!
