Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Beer is a deep brown/orange color, and somewhat cloudy. Head is nearly non-existent after a few moments.
Smell: Very floral hop presence (almost rose-like). Some bready malt character along with a very gentle citrus tone.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Beer is light on the tongue, with some very detectable hop oils prevalent in the first taste. Hop flavor here is more to the bitter side, with very gentle grassiness. A moderate malt flavor without much sweetness provides a good base for the flavors to play out.
Overall: This is a good beer. I think it fits the category perfectly, and is a good example of what to shoot for.
