Best by Nov. 30, 2010. Thanks for that!
A pretty copper colored beer, obviously bottle conditioned based on the dregs...which I poured resulting a a fairly hazy appearance that is not at all unpleasant. A thin but dense tan head leaves an almost solid ring of lacing around the glass.
A nice citrus-spice hop aroma...just smells sticky (is that possible?). Hop spice balanced nicely by some caramel sweetness. Nice overall effect on the nose. Taste is really a nice mix of citrusy spicy sweetness, hops turning bitter in the middle, alcohol warmth and bitter hops linger on the tongue through the finish and they stay around for a spell.
Medium body, well carbonated but still somewhat slick in the mouth. This is an easy drinking IPA that would certainly creep up on the un-expecting.
Dig it...so glad to find this beer!
