Poured a dark golden color with thick white head and steady carbonation. Strong lacing.
The smell was of piney and citrusy hops, with a little flowery background. A little malt sweetness comes out too.
The taste was a let down. It was everything an IPA should be, but muted. There was a hop kick and the hop flavor was there, but it was, I'm not sure how to describe it... plain or understated. It was there, but there was nothing special about it.
The mouthfeel was smooth with a little hop bitterness at the end.
A very drinkable beer, for the same reasons noted in flavor. Nothing too strong about it.

This beer is a clear and shining dark orange the color and clarity of well-polished brass. A foamy head maintains just over a finger of creamy froth and holds itself up well. A ring of lacing at the top is followed by patching and thick spotting.
Grains and diacetyl are strong enough to push out from citrus, flora and earth along with fruity (darker) sweetness and some unusual spiciness. There's nothing screaming English as opposed to American, and diacetyl's could probably be toned down a little.
Toast and caramel speak strongly of the malts and, while floral and citrus notes are present, the levels may be more appropriate for a Pale ale than an IPA. There is a bit of mineral I didn't get in the nose. Some orange peel comes out into a more biscuity finish, a buttered biscuit effect as the diacetyl rolls through.
The body's on the light end of medium, with moderate carbonation giving it a good crispness and smoothness, but it ends slightly thin.
