I am a fan of Magic Hat, but found this one disappointing. The color is a deep yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Mouthfeel is weak and watery, and the flavor is very very light. The hints of lemon and ginger are amost imperceptible, although they are stronger on the nose. I'm not much of a fan of the regular Hocus Pocus, and was hoping that this version would change my opinion, but it didn't taste a whole lot different from the regular version. I'll pass on this one next time. I'll gladly stick with a pale ale or IPA during the warm weather.

Presentation: 750ml limited edition bomber of Magic Hat's Hocus Pocus, but with Lemon & Ginger flavouring added. No freshness date.
Appearance: Cloudy, light amber in colour with a thin, even white head with amble stick and retention.
Smell: Very gingery with a soft bite of lemon. Wheat in the background.
Taste: Soft, smooth and very creamy on the palate. Light to medium in body. Ginger flavours come forward first; soft, distinct and lively. Lemon flavour follows with a citrus snap that fades into lightly sweet malt character. The beer goes dry with a semi-crisp wheat quality, then strong husky tannins straight into the finish.
Notes: If you're going to clone your own brew, then add something to it to make it special ... I'd focus on the something special. The ginger and lemon flavours seem to fall short and hit the floor bland. Tannins seem to be too high.
Worth a try for any Magic Hat fan, or those into American Wheats with a twist ... just don't expect too much from this beer.

22 oz brown bomber with a freshness date. Pale yellowish golden brew with a thin bubbly perky lace.
Expressive lemon and softly poignant ginger aroma, some of the ale like characters come forth with fruitiness and diacetyl.
Sublimely smooth with a slick aleish mouth feel. Quick flashes of Ringwood yeast with an odd fruitiness and very mild musty diacetyl. Graininess draws on the spicy character of the ginger and the lemon and hint of honey pair up from a quick tag team battle which becomes more or less a draw. Lemon and ginger burst again to fend off each other but it is a drawn again. Very balanced and finishes quite dry.
A lighter ale than most, a perfect brew to clean the palate in-between courses or beers. Spicy Asia or even mild curry would do fine with is brew, even a citrusy dessert is something I’d pair with this brew.

An average pour nothing exceptional. The color is a dark-yellow to orange hue.Very cloudy and hazy with tons of sediment floating around.Offers a very good aroma of honey, ginger, and lemon.Very enchanting aroma beckoning for another sip.A slight crisp mouthfeel shows good carbonation. The finish touches on a wheat after taste that lingers.Leaves a somewhat dry bitter finish with hints of spices.Kind of tasted like Bell's seasoning. The stuff you use to make stuffing for turkies.I really enjoyed this offering from Magic Hat and would certainly buy it again.Great!
Note:A slight "detergent" like aroma is noted.

Very light yellow brew with a frothy head that lasted almost until the pint was finished. Slight hints of lemon and ginger tickle the nose and palate. Mouthfeel is light and watery,a quenchable summer brew. Magic Hat has come up with some pretty good stuff, and I'd try this one again, just for a refreshing summer brew.
