12oz bottle poured into tulip pint; thanks to Jesse13713 for this one.
A: Pours a just less than clear copper-amber color, with a finger of white head. Decent retention and lacing.
S: Earthy and musty; sweet caramel malts in great quantity if you can get past the initial off-putting earthy smell. A bit of a creamy sweetness is present with warmth.
T: Taste is an improvement on smell- much of the same sweetness is present here. Light earthy hop flavor in the back... won't say it's enjoyable, but it is tolerable; its bitterness is appreciated to help balance things. An unfortunate metallic finish does bump this one down a bit too.
M: Light-medium body, moderate-lively carbonation and a very creamy, smooth texture.
D: It goes down easily enough, but not a big fan of the flavors or their finish. Having to take a noseful of the aroma every time I take a sip doesn't help matters either.
