Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a mini mug. The bottle cap was inscribed with "Expand your view with things that are new." Upon investigation, I saw that this was the first Witbier to be included in my BeerAdvocate ratings! Hmm...
Appearance: Looks very clear, not similar to what was described under "Witbier." A 3/4 finger head receded to nothingness in ten seconds flat. Looks to be very mild in the carbonation department.
Smell: The apple comes first here. Not sensing a lot of orange peel, but the coriander is also noticeable after a few sniffs. Sadly, there's also a touch of acetone (nail polish remover) in there, which may just be the alcohol punching through. It's not enough to ruin it, but certainly not a 5.
Taste: A little less-than good. Orange peel is here, along with a cinnamon- or nutmeg-type spice tone. Very malty, the wheat flavor settles down after a moment. The aftertaste is overwhelmingly green apple, which isn't such a bad thing in this instance.
Mouthfeel: Much more carbonated than the appearance would have suggested. As the fizzies mellow, the beer takes on a simple and gentle texture, one that suits a Witbier very well. It rinses clean, which is to be expected. Pretty good here.
Drinkability: Why not, I'll give it a good score. I could drink a few...though I'm not sure I'd recommend this to a serious beer drinker. Probably a good in-between beer (someone switching from Smirnoffs and Mike's to Heinekens and Buds).
I like this one...but it's not anything to write home about. Perhaps I'll revisit it after I've tried a few more of the Wits.

Purchased as part of the Night of the Living Dead MH sampler case last year; 2010.
Poured into a pint glass a straw yellow color.
Aroma was a smoky fruity smell, hard to pin down the actual smell.
Tasted of smoke and yeast upfront, surprised that the apple taste was not more pronounced.
After the first few sips, I was becoming disappointed with the overall taste, which to me was not pleasing to me. I still had 5 more to go through at this point, and these weren't much better.
Overall I did not like it very much, but then again Witbier's in general aren't my favorite.
