Our Juniper Rye has a spicy, herbal aroma and smooth, bready malt flavor with a hint of sweetness, which is quickly followed by a spicy graininess provided by the use of Rye malt. Those who imbibe will find the ABV of this brew offers a subtle warming quality.
This ale finishes dry with spicy herbal notes and a unique, yet pleasant, bite from the addition of juniper berries.

First review. Happened upon this brew available only in Vermont.
Disclaimer: I enjoy straight Bombay Sapphire Gin.
New to the lingo, so here is my straight analysis:
Nice amber red color
Smell is floral w strong notes Of juniper
Taste: hops, juniper Berry at the back end
LOVE this beer enough to make sure the next ski trip And 7 hour drive coinincidences with its release.
For someone new to craft beers, got to say this is one of my raves. Not too keen on rye beers but this was especially pleasant and not sure if my appreciation of gin is a bias

Haven't had anything from Magic Hat in months now.
Pours a nice mild red color with a one-finger head into my glass. Color is definitely close to rye.
Sweet, buttery (probably from the yeast) with a sprinkling of spicy rye. Hmm. Wish the rye would peek out more.
Very mellow with just the right hint of spicy rye. Again, the house yeast gets in the way of anything else.
Lingering butteriness and spiciness from the rye. You could say it's a bit flowery too.
Not bad. The yeast kind of ruins it though.

I believe this is only available on draft.
This is a great looking beer, crystal clear, nice head, slight reddish tint to a yellow body.
I was leery at first of a juniper beer, but the aroma is so subtle that if you didn't see it written on the tap you might not believe it. It's definitely their, but their restraint in it's use is dead on. I for one, don't like beers that taste like gin.
The flavors are great, I'd put it solidly in with other rye beers, it has that classic smooth silky subtly spicey (hard to know if its from the juniper here or not) flavor profile. The flavors are very well balanced and work well together.
A solid rye beer that is very drinkable.
