A: Slightly hazy but transparent yellow with a nice white head and some lacing.

S: slightly saison like, grassy, hints of lemon, pilsner / gently malted grain aroma.

T: Starts off slightly grassy with hay and a bit of a saison like flavor from the dandelions. Continues with the graham cracker Magic Hat house yeast and a biscuit y presence. Finishes tannic and dandelion like.

M: Light crisp and high carbonation levels. Just about right for what I would think a saison carb level should be. Overall pretty good M for an herbed/spiced beer.

O: Not a bad beer, worth trying, not the best from the mixed 12 pack.

This poured out as a bright yellow color with a lot of floating particles in it, the head was foamy and white on top. the smell of the beer was floral and sweet. The taste of the beer gives off a big sweetness in the beginning that fades into a gentle bitter finish. The mouthfeel of the beer is light bodied and very drinkable, it's got a decent carbonation to it. Overall I thought this beer was a lot better than I pictured it being. I would probably drink this one again some day.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a short wispy white head that settled into a light ring.

The aroma has a light grapefruit hop scent. There is some grassy hop notes as well. There seems to be a general fruitiness to the aroma.

Nice light grapefruit hop aroma with some grassy bitterness. This could be from the hops or perhaps the dandelions. Again, a bit of a general fruitiness (floral?) to the brew. The malt is light and dry; some cracker notes.

The feel is light and very carbonation. Quite fizzy and burpy. Very easy to drink.

A nice light APA/IPA. Good hop flavor, not strong, but tastey. The dandelions don't do much. Good summer brew.

Pours a pale, slightly murky golden yellow with a thick foamy bright white head. Smells of grassy hops, some herbal and flowery aromas and a hint of citrus. Mostly lemon and grassy hop tones some grain in the aftertaste and a slightly bitter finish. It has a medium body but still light enough to be refreshing, lots of carbonation and a dry finish. This is one of the better beers that I've tried from Magic Hat, quite session-able.

Thick, lumpy head that leaves some chunky lace. Settles to a single layer of bubbles and leaves less lace toward the bottom of the glass. Cloudy with a dark gold/light amber color.

Crisp, fresh malt aroma with hop in the background as a spice. Pleasant if slightly fruity.

Far drier than the smell indicates. There's still some fruitiness as if dried apricots were added to the bright tank. The finish features mild bitterness. Neutral body and carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pilsner glass. Pistil: Give it a shot!

A: Only a few millimeters of bubbly white head present on pour, atop a light, straw yellow body. Loads of debris visible in suspension. Looks like a yellow snowstorm.

Love the bottle art.

S: Light and lemony/floral.

T: Well, the dandelion is there right away in the form of a breezy, floral flavor, along with a faintly earthy/musky taste I've come to associate with Magic Hat and barns. And I swear, a faint, sort of pickled flavor on the aftertaste.

M: A little frothy. Surprisingly thick for such a bright brew, even somewhat on the oily side.

O: Like the kid who used to eat worms, Magic Hat once again promises something weird and delivers it. Only it's not quite as awesome as you think. A fun diversion for this year, and worth trying just to say that, yes, you've had a beer brewed with dandelions, but nothing much more than that.

Incidentally dandelions are highly underrated. I kick the little bastards whenever I see them because A: It's fun making them explode, B: it irritates other people and C: It makes more dandelions, causing A and B to repeat.

Pours a nice cloudy golden color, with a white head and nice tight bubbles.

There is some hint of dandelion in the nose along with spice and a grassy yeast smell, very pleasant like summer.

Yeasty malt mouth up front, with bitter dandelion coming in the middle, finishes with grainy oat notes. Has real nice balance to it - a sharp almost citrus bight balanced by a nice malty punch. This is by know means great, but it is surprisingly good. Goes down real well after mowing the grass.

First had: Philly Beer Scene Tasting panel with Matt Falco at Victory Brewing Company, Downingtown, PA

I was privileged enough to be on the tasting panel for PBS Magazine, along with Bill Covaleski of Victory and Greg Ramirez of Exton Beverage. This was one of 21 beers we sampled during the session. I'm not a big fan of Magic Hat, but surprisingly I liked this one quite a bit.

Poured a light, hazy golden yellow with a bit of noticeable sediment, under a cap of bright, foamy, white head; minimal retention, and a bit of lacing. Aroma of fresh cut grass and meadow flowers (this is brewed with dandelion after all), lightly hopped. Light taste, not bursting with flavor, but this isn't that kind of beer. Grassy notes, flowery, light perfume, nothing I would call "spicy" per se, just more floral than anything. This beer had to have been very fresh. Crisp but subdued hops, and light biscuity malts. Normally I wouldn't drink something this light, but man did it go down smooth and easy. I could theoretically sit outside all day on a hot summer day and drink a case of this.

[Best served in a Lager glass]

The pour was a hazy medium golden yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) white creamy head that was mostly diminishing down to a light film and a very small collar and had just a bit of spotty lacing.

The aroma was of a light pale hay malt, floral hops and a mild earthy yeast with notes of oats, citrus (lemon and orange) and a slight floral presence.

The taste was lightly bitter throughout with the beginning having mild hints of citrus and a light hoppiness with a slightly sour floral finish. The flavor was short lived with a slight bitter taste that faded fast.

Mouthfeel was light in body with a watery and very lightly oily texture and possessed a fizzy carbonation.

Overall a fantastic summer brew that was light, tasty and quite satisfying. It is great to taste a Lager that has some flavor and a great drinkability...

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

LOOK: Hazed yellow color, good frothing on top.

SMELL: Bready, lemon grass, yeast, vegtal, spicy

TASTE: Crisp, gummy, grainy, grassy, taffy, peppery, lemon pith, nutty, semi-dry finish

Decent but not much to it, some vague flavors from the danelions perhaps ... too subtle IMO. A basic cloudy unidentified brew at best.

Bottle supplied by the brewery.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a short white head.

Lightly fruity and hoppy aroma with a hint of what I'm guessing is dandelion?

Not really sure I like the flavor. It's weird with sulphur-like notes mixed with tea flavors and corn-flakes.

The body is fine, with a crisp carbonation.

Sorry, this doesn't work for me.

Colorful retro label takes a cue from Milton Glaser's iconic Dylan poster.

Decanted carefully into a tulip glass, its a lightly hazed goldenrod orange with an ample head of creamy white foam. Crown of lace is ample as well.

Floral and sweet, grains of paradise, wet husky grains. A bit muted and one dimensional but pleasant enough.

Tastes slightly bitter like tea, along with some cooked greens, somewhat crisp and dry in the aftertaste. A light herbal sweetness balances the bitterness, again somewhat green and floral. Somewhat interesting but not well defined. Tastes like tea mostly.
