The head, just the slightest shade away from white, rests at one finger or so, fluffy and fairly thick, on a cloudy golden brew. Activity continues steadily as it sits, and the head never diminishes beyond a pretty thick foam that leaves patches, though the body doesn't provide as much stick to the lacing as it should.
The yeast is heavy in this one with lots of earthiness, nuttiness and something green and raw along with dry, bready notes from malt and some kitchen spices. Interesting and not off-putting, though a sort of earthy/sulfuric/seaweed-like element, not to mention something skin to mustard (curious, but fairly subtle) could throw one off.
The taste isn't nearly as salty as I'd expect, though it's there. It doesn't overwhelm. I'd even expect a briny sort of finish, but I've had some DIPAs and stouts lately that gave much more of that brine than this beer. It tastes (and feels) like the malt base is wheat. There are also, however, more crusty/biscuity malts notes as well. There's a fruitiness underneath and a bit of sulfur as might be found in a pils or a Helles. Otherwise it's very earthy and there's something raw and grassy underlying the base.
At first, this beer is absolutely creamy and fluffy, with a nice body. That tapers off, and the crispness is left to carry it through, which it does.

I am now committed to reducing, if not eradicating, my backlog of bottles. This one was part of a local, in-person trade with tone77.

From the bottle: "The ancient ritual of brewing a distinctly rich and flavorful beer is a performance to behold. Our mysterious melange of time-honored ingredients harmonize with chaotic chemistry, humble patience and blind faith to create this unique beer to share in the rousing company of kindred spirits. Cheers!"; "Do Good, Drink Well, Be Saintly"; "a performance in every bottle".

I am very curious to try this as Gose is not an everyday style. Also, as a U.S. Navy retiree, I am definitely a "salty dog"! I used a heavy-hand to begin the pour, resulting in a pseudo-cascade, settling into a finger off bone-white (salt-white?) head with fair retention, dropping into a skim across the top of the beer. Color was a button-bright sunshine-yellow (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose smelled like sea spray. I kid you not, I felt like I was back on the forecastle of any of the four ships on which I served. Man, my mouth was watering, both from the memory and at the prospect of what was to come! Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium. The taste was salty, sure and slightly spicy, but in both instances, they seemed muted. This lacked Ooomph! to make it a really standout Gose. Finish was dry, but it could have been so much more.

Appearance: pours a 1/2" white head that recedes quickly with virtually no lacing. Color is a hazy golden with sediment in suspension and significant carbonation present.
Aroma: smells much like a pilsener to me (this is my first ever Gose style). There is a smell of clean water, lightly toasted malts, a little yeast, and maybe a slight tart hop smell.
Mouthfeel: is light and watery. Finish is fairly dry.
Flavor: tastes much like a pilsener combined with a wheat beer. There is a pleasant barley malt flavor with a mild hop bitterness and just a hint of spice (from the coriander I assume, but it is not strong the way coriander sometimes shows up in Belgian style ales).
