Clear light orange color, minimal white head, meager retention and lacing. Aroma is even more meager. Maybe some graininess? It's kinda like smelling a bud light almost. Tasted like stale cardboard. Not fresh cardboard, but cardboard that has been left out a couple days. Faint mineral note and grains, maybe a spice note. It tastes so stale, It comes off as uncarbonated...but it's not. Crisp, decent carbonation, kinda watery, easy to drink...thanks in part to little taste, let alone any noticeable gose characteristics.

What a disappointment. Unrecognizable saltiness, no spices, and where is the lactic acid? This is a poor example of a Gose. I like for brewers to brew out of their comfort zone, but they were obviously brewing outside of their capabilities with this one. Pass.

12oz bottle

This beer is brewed with coriander and sea salt.

A- Pours a clear golden yellow color with a nice off-white head with decent retention and lacing.

S- The aroma is very faint malt, coriander and salt. Not much else to note in the aroma.

T- The taste like the aroma is faint malt up front with an almost salty finish and a moderate amount of hops in the finish as well.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied with a high amount of carbonation creating a prickly mouthfeel.

O- Overall, not bad but not something that I would want to drink again. There just wasn't much flavor, and the faint flavors that were there just didn't do much for me.

A: Weird orange-ish color, looks like it maybe unfiltered but I can't see any sediment. Looked really clear and crisp coming out of the bottle.

S: Pleasant smell. Fruity undertones.

T: Slightly refreshing at first, can really taste the fruity notes at first sip. The refreshment gives way for a slightly bitter taste concluding with with a sour-ish aftertaste. Really really underwhelming in the overall taste department.

M: Great carbonation. Mouthfeel was the only redeeming quality of this beer.

I had three of these in the Magic Hat Spring 2013 sampler. Don't think I'd buy anymore of these separately. Great artwork.

Appearance: pours a 1/2" white head that recedes quickly with virtually no lacing. Color is a hazy golden with sediment in suspension and significant carbonation present.
Aroma: smells much like a pilsener to me (this is my first ever Gose style). There is a smell of clean water, lightly toasted malts, a little yeast, and maybe a slight tart hop smell.
Mouthfeel: is light and watery. Finish is fairly dry.
Flavor: tastes much like a pilsener combined with a wheat beer. There is a pleasant barley malt flavor with a mild hop bitterness and just a hint of spice (from the coriander I assume, but it is not strong the way coriander sometimes shows up in Belgian style ales).

I, too, purchased this from the House of 1000 beers...But I got it for $1. Others have said there isn't much memorable about this beer and I would agree. Maybe that is the reason I like it so much. Just a beer to enjoy ice cold right from the bottle and not feeling the need to remember it. Maybe I like it because it was just a buck....

Appearance - Pale yellow and fairly clear with 1 finger head. Decent retention

Smell - Very earthy and grassy.

Taste - Very grainy on the pallet. Otherwise its a fairly bland tasting and watery beer. Not sure how this is even considered a Gose.

Mouthfeel - watery.

Overall - A not so interesting beer yet easily sessionable.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

The patron saint of gose? Why not? Anyway, this stuff pours a clear gold topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises wheat, coriander, sweet biscuit, and a twinge of sweet flowers. The taste brings in more of the same, though everything has congealed into a characterless mass of vague wheatiness and sweetness. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate and a fluid feel. Overall, a bland, meek excuse for a gose, one that comes across more as a weak pale wheat ale than anything resembling a gose. Shame, really...
