Had this beer by half pint in a straight pint glass at the Penderel's Oak (in-between Holborn and Chancery Lane UG stations), a Wetherspoon pub, during JDW's May beerfest this evening. It turns out to be my favorite beer during the whole, two-week long beerfest~~

Appearance: pours dark-straw or amber colour, with a sparse head and very limited carbonation. Nothing special for a bitter, really.
Smell: oh my... incredibly complex hoppy on nose--banana, mango, orange...mixed tropical fruity and lightly spicy(nutmeg?) nose; it's somehow akin to the aroma of a fine and aromatic German Hefe-weizen!!
Taste & Aftertaste: again, at first there is banana-dominated palate, with light tangy-citrusy hops, slightly smoky and toffeeish flavour, and lightly buttery mouthfeel; finished with extremely dryish, intensively bitter and fruity hoppy aftertaste--JUST BRILLIANT!!!
Mouthfeel & Drinkability: coming with smooth but also refreshing mouthfeel, it's a medium-full bodied strong pale ale, although it's aggresively hoppy than standard English pale ale--more like American pale ale?? Anyway, the double late-hopping with East Kent Goldings hops unmistakably left its mark in the pint. So thirst-quenching and brilliant brew it is!!
