Bottle to tulip. Thanks to douginromeo for the trade.

A. Dark rusty copper, amberish. Poured a thick 2 finger fine bubble egg shell head. Head slowly retreats to a tacky rim and sticky laces.

S. Starts off with bright pineapples and peach juice. Medium malt presence. The end is of an open grass field in a humid climate. A little bit of bootstrap leather. A noticeable hop bitterness to finish everything off. Cat piss becomes present as it opens.

T. Starts off with piney hops and a noticeable sweetness. Notes of honey and butter. A moderate malt backbone. Grassy and dusty. A little bit o biscuit.

M. High carbonation. Full body. Not very smooth.

O. Very nice. Certainly similar to hopslam. The juicy nose gives way to a piney palate - which is nothing atypical. The beer falls short in the feel. It's just not very smooth. If I ever get a chance to purchase this I will. I'm a fan.

12 oz. bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Pours without much of a head. Small white head. No collar. Just some surface wisps.

Smell - Musty. Lots of caramel malt. A little grapefruit.

Taste - Better, but tastes kinda old. Lots of sweet caramel malt. Grapefruit. Grassy bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Sweet. Medium heavy. Medium low carbonation.

Overall - Not sure about the age on this.

Appearance: dark orange, hazy, off white finger of frothy head.

Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, citrus, some pine resins, grapefruit.

Taste: caramel sweetness, citrus, pine, pineapple, strong booze.

Mouthfeel: full body, sticky.

Overall: nice, but a little boozy and sweet, and lacks the hop balance.

Poured into an IPA glass. Liquid is a clear amber, with lots of carbonation, but very little head - just a small off-white cap on top of the beer. The cap leaves a surprising amount of lace on the glass.

Aroma is resiny hops and caramel malts. Kind of like a hop-infused caramel syrup. A little bit of a floral note in there too.

Taste follows the nose - bigtime resin and caramel. Finish is moderately bitter, and the afertaste is grapefruity citrus & evergreen.

Mouthfeel is relatively thick, with lots of carbonation.

Overall, not my favorite flavor profile for an IPA, but it's good for what it is. I find a lot of DIPA's with the resiny caramel thing going on to be kind of sickly sweet, and this one avoids that with the minty evergreen on the finish. Glad I got to try it, so thanks to niner99 for the bottle!
