Pours a moderately hazy honey-gold bordering on orange with a rich, rocky one-finger cream-colored head that displays excellent retention, leaving a pretty network of lacing on the inside of the glass. Big hoppy nose -- good citrus presence, but primarily piney, resiny and floral notes. Big citrusy and piney hops on the tongue. Significant malt backbone gives this good balance in the middle, giving way to a peanut skin flavor, ultimately moving to a bitter lingering finish that almost borders on the astringent but fortunately stops just short. Oily mouthfeel with tingly carbonation. Perhaps a little bit big and intense to session, but very enjoyable. Recommended.

Last of my beers courtesy of Newman
Brilliantly clear, on the gold/amber bolder, but fairly pale. Pours a nice tight head, creamy and with nice retention.
Rich hop aroma, more on the pine side. Has some malty notes in support to balance out the aroma. Sampling fairly cold, but feel like their might be a little alcohol just out of reach in the nose.
Wow, hops! Big, solventy but not overpowering hop flavor, a piney/earthy flavor with a hint of nuttiness. I know the malt is there, but it is buried under the hops. Hop bitterness in the finish is intense yet somehow smooth.
Borderline tongue scraper in terms of hop bitterness on the tongue, but not overly astringent. Some definite warming, not out of line for the style. Medium-full body and medium carbonation.
A really expertly crafted beer. How it could be so hoppy without much in the way of harshness was impressive to me. The nature of the hop flavor isn't my personal favorite, but they used the hops to maximum advantage.
