Named after the hop flower Humulus Lupulus, this India Pale Ale style beer has enormous amounts of hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. With a very complex malt bill, flavors seem to meld with the hops to balance this ale and provide a ridiculous urge to sample more.

12oz bottle received in trade with leafsj - thanks buddy!

Appearance - Hazy copper colour with an average size fizzy/frothy off-white coloured head. There is a low amount of carbonation and there is some good lacing. The head lasted for over 5 minutes.

Smell - Malts, hops, grapefruit, pine

Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste hops and malts mixed with caramel. There is also quite a bit of bitter resiny pine and grapefruit peel and pith. It ends with a bitter hoppy malty aftertaste.

Overall - A good dose of bitter hops but lacking in the fruity juiciness department. Still a great beer that I would drink again. Reminded me a bit of a Finest Kind IPA.

A-Medium amber color with a two finger white head.

S-Sweet tropical fruits - pineapple, and mango with spicy pine, grapefruit, and some caramel malt.

T-Sweet grapefruit and pineapple, caramel malt, and finishes with a dry, bitter pine note.

M-Really smooth; medium bodied and very low carbonation.

D-This is a pretty solid beer that goes down easy. The mouthfeel really contributes to how easy drinking this one is.
