On tap at Ashley's in Ann Arbor.
A: A beautiful ruby red but a dark ruby color. A nice light white/pink head that is about an inch thick.
S: Fresh fruit. Raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries! The weird part is it has a nice hoppy aroma too. A great combination of fruits and hops make me really excited to try this brew. (Even know I've had it multiple times, just never reviewed it.)
T: A lot like it smells. Crisp, hops, and fruit. It's basically hoppy fruit juice...but with a decent amount of alcohol. A good crisp taste overall.
M: Medium carbonation and a medium mouthfeel. It feels real good in the mouth.
D: Very drinkable. Soft Parade isn't like most fruit beers that can get to be a little "too much" but it seems to be just right. I wouldn't want to drink a whole six pack in a sitting but I could absolutely take out a few of them.
Overall, a really good fruit rye ale from an even more outstanding brewery. I've yet to drink something from Short's I haven't enjoyed!

Pours a pink hazy color. Head was 1/5 of and inch, white with a pink tint. Head retention and lacing were mediocre at best but the beer was such a pretty color, I decided to boost up the rating a small amount.
Smell is of strawberries and raspberries, similar to a jar of jam. Pale straw malts are also detected, apparently this beer is made with rye but i don't get any on the nose.Getting some smells of belgian yeast similar to what you'd find in a tripel. Aroma of alcohol is light in the end.
Taste is full on fruit; lots of raspberries and strawberries with some blackberries in background. Very light malts are also in the mix, again, I don't get any rye. No hops are detected either, some medicinal alcohol is tasted in the finish.
Mouthfeel is very light and effervescent, similar to a champagne or rose. No head is present which is a shame, could have used some to cut astringent aftertaste.
Overall, this was a tasty fruit ale but it was pretty one note. Could have benefited from more body but it is a good alternative to sparkling wine or hard ciders. Good beer but not available in my area, wouldn't try too hard to trade for it
