Pours a transparent lite red wine color. Fizzes like a soda with a tiny amount of lace left around the edge of the liquid where it meets the glass. A bit of sediment lays still in the bottom of the bottle but shakes up nicely. Upon pouring, as can be expected a cloud drops into the glass and swirls spirals entertain the eyes for seconds.
Smell is fruity like a juice box with a tint of alcohol laden with blueberries and raspberries.
Taste is fruity and done well. I am not a fruit beer drinker. I have only enjoyed one fruit beer, and I had a few. But this one is drinkable.
Feel is somewhat light, silky and slightly sleek.
Another well crafted beer from Short's. Kudos.

Pours a pink hazy color. Head was 1/5 of and inch, white with a pink tint. Head retention and lacing were mediocre at best but the beer was such a pretty color, I decided to boost up the rating a small amount.
Smell is of strawberries and raspberries, similar to a jar of jam. Pale straw malts are also detected, apparently this beer is made with rye but i don't get any on the nose.Getting some smells of belgian yeast similar to what you'd find in a tripel. Aroma of alcohol is light in the end.
Taste is full on fruit; lots of raspberries and strawberries with some blackberries in background. Very light malts are also in the mix, again, I don't get any rye. No hops are detected either, some medicinal alcohol is tasted in the finish.
Mouthfeel is very light and effervescent, similar to a champagne or rose. No head is present which is a shame, could have used some to cut astringent aftertaste.
Overall, this was a tasty fruit ale but it was pretty one note. Could have benefited from more body but it is a good alternative to sparkling wine or hard ciders. Good beer but not available in my area, wouldn't try too hard to trade for it
