12 oz bottle dated 1/26/12 poured in to Founders tulip.

A - Poured a pale strawberry red with a big glow throughout. One finger of thin, bubbly white head formed form the pour and receded to a few random bubble throughout the glass.

S - Very sweet up front with loads of strawberry, blueberry and raspberry aromas. A tartness is evident in the nose as well.

T - A big tartness up front with raspberry and strawberry flavours present without being overwhelming. A bready malt backbone is present in the middle along with some sweetness that becomes more and more apparent as I continue to drink the glass. The tartness returns in the finish and lingers considerably. The sweetness becomes too much half way through the glass.

M - Light to medium body with a slight chew at times but watery at other times. Medium carbonation.

O - This one was interesting but I couldn't get through it. I am admittedly not big on fruit beers in the first place so I have kept hat in mind with my ratings.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled 7/15/2011. Pours a fairly hazy reddish orange color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense pinkish off white head with good retention that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Some nice spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas of big tart raspberries, strawberry, blackberry, cherry, and spices. Nice and pleasant fruit aromas with nice complexity. Taste of lightly tart raspberry, blackberry, cherry, strawberry, pepper, clove, and herbal spiciness. Lingering notes of raspberry, strawberry, pepper, clove, and herbal spices on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance of fruit flavors with spiciness; and a nice bit of tartness to round it out. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel and slightly prickly carbonation. Alcohol is extremely well hidden at 8%, with hardly any alcohol warming after the finish. Very smooth to drink but is still a bit of a sipper. Overall this fruit beer was a LOT more enjoyable than I was expecting. Nice balance of all flavors with good complexity; and very smooth to drink as well. Really enjoyed this one.

A: Cherry wood in color with a bright whit head that dissipates almost immediately

S: Smacked in the face with a bag of mixed berries. It kind of smells like the pomegranate blueberry V8 juice

T: Again, mainly fruit, but it was a bit more subdued than what I expected from the nose. Also got a bit of tartness and funkiness

M: Good carbonation and good job at hiding the alcohol.

Overall this one was pretty good. Definitely not my normal style, but very unique. Picked this up as an extra in a trade and I can't get it in my neck of the woods, but I was glad to have tried it

A - Reddish fruity color, when held up to the light you notice some pink hues in this beer. Nice foamy white head decent lacing good looking beer.

S - Smells fruity just expected more fruit notes it was kind of bland on the nose.

T - Sour for a fruit beer, but also not fruity enough. To be honest, I enjoy this even though it doesn't really fit a style. Hides the alcohol well. Detectable bitterness with no hop aroma or flavor.

M - Good carbonation and medium body.

O - Overall I would say this is a average beer I expected more out of this beer but it was still worth trying. It did hide the alcohol well so you have to pace yourself on this one.

Thanks to michibrew for this interesting extra. 12 oz. beer poured into pint glass.

A - Pours a cloudy golden-pink color. White one finger head fizzles down to a small island film. Some, but not much lacing to be had here.

S - It is unsurprisingly fruity with raspberry, blueberry, and strawberry. There is a strange earthy funkiness that may be from the fruit combining with the rye used in brewing. I am back and forth on how I feel about the nose.

T - Again dominated by the berries. Slightly tart. Tastes a bit like dirt, with a hint of rye. Backbone of biscuit malty. The aftertase returns to that strange flavor from the nose. It reminds me a little bit of the aftertaste you get from bad medicine (not the bon jovi kind). The high ABV is not apparent in this beer though, which is impressive.

M - Light and prickly, just how I would like a fruity beer like this.

O - I anticipated this beer tasting like a wine cooler with double the alcohol. It was fruity, but maintained some "beer-like" elements from the rye and barley. Some of the aromas and flavors were slightly out-of-whack but I appreciated the effort. Not great, but not terrible. My girlfriend would like it more than I did.

Anxious and curious about this one.

Poured into a FFF pint glass.

Pours a hazy strawberry color tinted with burnt caramel. A thin layer of pink-tinted, white head. Not much lacing.

The nose is bringing some strawberries, tart funk, sweetness, and fruity esters. Zero booze noticed.

The taste has blueberries and strawberries mainly, with some tartness provided by the raspberries. A funky barnyard taste is noticed with a balancing amount of sweetness.

The mouthfeel is light and crisp, with a dry finish. Very nice for this beautiful day! (68 degrees in early March)

Overall, liked this a lot and could drink it all day, or untill I pass out on a park bench.

Thanks to jrags8 for the shorts hookup!

A - Looks like fruit juice a bit hazy with some sediment and a 1/4 inch of head that quickly turns to a slightly sticky lace ring.

S - Well it smells like a fruit beer tart and sweet berries, low hop profile, and a nice sweet balanced malt.

T - Well it's no fruit juice but it does hide the ABV well. A very solid fruit beer I am getting a nice bit of tart fruit, sweet malts, and a slightly alcohol finish. Not bad.

M - Medium bodied and very smooth. Unbelievable ABV drinks like 5 or 6%.

Overall from some reviews I expected way too sweet fruit juice aspects but got a smooth fruit beer that's tart with little actual beer flavor but just enough malt and carbonation to make it enjoyable. Can't wait to try their other offerings!

A- Red, it looks like a fruit-juice drink. No head to speak of. Really, a unique color

S- Smells very fruity, like tropical punch (very much like how it tastes) Alcohol is apparent in the smell

T- tastes like watered-down hawaiin punch, with an alcoholy punch. Variety of fruit tastes go through the palate when drinking it. unique and strange, but very good

M- smooth, goes down easy without any alcohol burn.

O- if you are looking for a traditional beer with extremely subtle hints, this beer is not for you. If you want a unique beer that tastes like fruit punch and is refreshing, try the Soft Parade.
