Thanks to jrags8 for the shorts hookup!

A - Looks like fruit juice a bit hazy with some sediment and a 1/4 inch of head that quickly turns to a slightly sticky lace ring.

S - Well it smells like a fruit beer tart and sweet berries, low hop profile, and a nice sweet balanced malt.

T - Well it's no fruit juice but it does hide the ABV well. A very solid fruit beer I am getting a nice bit of tart fruit, sweet malts, and a slightly alcohol finish. Not bad.

M - Medium bodied and very smooth. Unbelievable ABV drinks like 5 or 6%.

Overall from some reviews I expected way too sweet fruit juice aspects but got a smooth fruit beer that's tart with little actual beer flavor but just enough malt and carbonation to make it enjoyable. Can't wait to try their other offerings!

A- Red, it looks like a fruit-juice drink. No head to speak of. Really, a unique color

S- Smells very fruity, like tropical punch (very much like how it tastes) Alcohol is apparent in the smell

T- tastes like watered-down hawaiin punch, with an alcoholy punch. Variety of fruit tastes go through the palate when drinking it. unique and strange, but very good

M- smooth, goes down easy without any alcohol burn.

O- if you are looking for a traditional beer with extremely subtle hints, this beer is not for you. If you want a unique beer that tastes like fruit punch and is refreshing, try the Soft Parade.

A: A very, very pinkish & slightly peachy amber. Quite a bit of haze (esp. once bottom of bottle is poured) with some rising bubbles visible at the edges. Small slightly pink tinged eggshell head. Settles quick, but keeps a ring. Very little lace.

S: Berry, fruity, firmly bready, malty sweetness, some toasty grain, touch of clean yeast, hint of tartness. Perhaps some esters. No hops. Overall good strength with a reasonably inviting fruity & floral wheat beer effect that is distinctly like jam and toast.

T: Much like the nose – Berry / fruity (lots of strawberry and raspberry), bready with hints of toast and biscuit, some low C malty sweetness, hint of yeast, and a bit of tartness. The major addition is a pretty good does of earthy and spicy rye. Fairly noticeable balancing bitterness. Emphasis is on the fruit, with the large bready malts forming a solid base. Sort of sweet / tart overall. Not super complex, but quite robust with good depth.

M: Medium body to perhaps just a hair over with matched carbonation that is soft textured yet firm in strength. A hint of residual sugars & sweetness. End is mildly drying with just a slight bit of tartness. Very refreshing.

D: I cannot believe the stated abv on this beer – it is just so fresh and refreshing. A bit dangerous really, if this is your mug o’ beer. It is exceedingly drinkable. For me though, fruity / dessert / sweet beers are sort of one and doen. But it is one super nice treat.

A - Poured into a tulip, has a dark pink coloring with an *adorable* pink head of about a finger's height. Minimal retention and lacing.

S - Smells sour, like a wild ale. Or vinegar. I can't decide.

T - Tastes like what's advertised. Beer mixed with fruit slurry. Some strawberry and blueberry. Unpleasant sort of sour finish. Which, under normal circumstances, wouldn't be too bad, but it doesn't strike me as something that was done on purpose.

M - Mellow carb, dry finish.

O - Not really my thing, but I can see why it's such a hit with the ladies. It's a cheerleader beer that's actually *half* beer and not just malt beverage. It is what it is.

A - The beer pours a hazy red color with a touch of pink mixed in and a big finger of frothy pink colored head. The head fades down extremely slowly leaving behind lots of thick lace.

S - The aroma is full of sweet berries with lots of strawberries especially. It is really nice and sweet and tart.

T - The flavor starts off with some mellow berry sweetness with a bit more pungent tartness. The sweetness starts to build right away with a touch of grain in the background. Through the middle the sweetness gets quite a bit stronger with lots of strawberry flavor coming through. The finish is a mix of berry flavor with lots of strong tartness and sweetness.

M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a tart and dry finish.

D - Very drinkable. I rally like just how sweet and tart it is and how strong the fruit flavor is. It also finishes really strong with some great flavor.

Short's soft parade has a cloudy body that is reddish pink. The light pink head is a small ring, with decent retention and spotty lacing.

The aroma is very sweet, with tons of berries. Strawberry, blueberry raspberry, it just smells like a berry medley, with natural and artificial aromas mixing. A hint of grain.

Soft Parade isn't especially complex, but it is pretty good. Lots of berries once again, and once again I taste a variety of berries including strawberry, blueberry and raspberry. A good bit of sweetness and a little bit of tartness. It's actually a little more tart than sweet overall. There is a little bit of grain in the background, and some rye spiciness, especially in the finish.

Really light, with a high amount of carbonation that is almost explosive.

Soft Parade is a solid fruit beer that features an interesting mix of berry flavors.

Appearance: Pinkish brown and kinda funny lookin'. Lots of frothy head.

Aroma: Berry tartness and undercurrent of malt sweetness. Great tart nose.

Taste: Strawberry tart-sweetness combo upfront. Other berry flavors dance (raspberries, blueberries), but a great sourness helps this very flavorful beer from going too nuts.

Mouthfeel/Drinkability: For such a high-test sour brew, the body on this is very light. The body stiffens a little as it warms, but is still light enough to allow for flavors to dance and evolve.

Overall: Really great beer. Considering the price and availability of this one, I'd pick it up quite often whenever I wanted a tart treat.

Saw a sixer of this, it's from Short's, it's high gravity and it's a fruit beer?! Had to pick one up to try. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, Soft Parade is a hazy brownish-red color with a thin, soapy white head. The nose is unmistakably berries, mostly blueberries, some raspberries and a faint hint of strawberry. The taste has a similar berry profile with an unexpected bitterness/tartness that doesn't complement the beer. There is a faint malty backdrop but this reminds me more of a wine cooler than a beer. The mouthfeel is a light medium body with a moderate carbonation. Overall, worth trying, I'm still impressed that it's 9% because it is not noticable but not one I will be searching out in the future.
