Bottle poured into a tall Pilsener glass.
It's so hard to rate this "to style," but I'll give it a shot.
A- It barely develops a head before it vanishes quickly, clean, straw body with medium- heavy carbonation. There's a little sediment left in the bottle after a careful pour (that's a tad concerning).
S- Very malty and sweet, like a sweetened cereal. Very light, grassy hops? Some doughy aromas.
T- Yep, it's a light lager. Malty with some berry-like esters. More flavor than the B-M-C light/lite beers. Maybe more like their "regular" counterparts. Very light, grassy/spicy hops. Dryish finish.
M- More full-bodied than expected. Medium carbonation. Clean finish.
O- Given the style, it's pretty solid. I'd choose it over the usual suspects, given a decent pricing point. Probably a great lawn mower beer. That said, I'm not going to seek it out. Having seen it on tap lists before, I'd be confident in ordering it when I really want something on the lighter side.

Appearance - very light straw yellow. No head or lacing at all
Smell - Oats/ grains and straw. Not much hoppiness to it at all
Taste - get a lot of cereal grains
Mouthfeel - light, crisp, and easy to drink
Overall - fun alternative to the Big lagers, but nothing special

A white head makes an effort and manages maybe 1/4 of a finger of wispy foam. That fades to just a little surface foam on top of a completely clear and extremely bright pale gold brew. It is capable of some decent lacing, though, leaving a ring at the top of the glass followed by some spotting.
The nose is pale malts, crackery and dry but countered by a light sweetness and some lemon. There's a little bit of an unoffensive kind of must I wouldn't quite call earthy and a little apple flesh.
The taste is much the same with a little less dryness, the malts more bread and biscuit, a little grassiness, some white fruit flesh with a slight tanginess and a little sweetness, and lemon zest. Grains run into the finish.
The body is light but with some depth and feel to it. It's crisp and it's fairly smooth considering. it's clean for the most part but with a slight slickness coming into the end.

A- Extremely pale blonde in color. Plenty of carbonation with a one finger head that quickly dissipates to a light halo. Minimal lacing.
S- Pleasant malt aromas of fresh baked bread. A little fruity.
T- Mellow malts, like ma's banana fresh banana bread. A sweet fruity feel but it isn't overbearing. Little to no aftertaste. Very satisfying for a light lager.
M- Crisp and clean like a light beer should be.
O- The flavor got me! I really enjoyed it. This is a good beer for active summer activities. A unique take on a light lager.

A: The beer is hazy light pale lager in color. It poured with a short white head that quickly died down, leaving only wispy lacing on the surface and a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of bready and corn-like malts are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is dominated by corn-like malts. Only slight amounts of hops and associated bitterness are noticeable, but there are enough to prevent any sweetness. There is no bad aftertaste compared to some of the other beers in the style.
M: It feels light-to medium-bodied and slightly smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seemed to be fuller in body compared to the light lagers made by macro breweries, but didn't have any offensive flavors in the taste or aftertaste.

I got a bottle of Short's Local's Light last week in their new variety pack for $19.99 at Boyne Country Provisions. I've had this beer when I visited Short's earlier this year, but since they released in bottles for the first time I thought I would give it a proper review, so lets see how it goes. It just showed up recently so I think it's fairly fresh. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into an Short's Imperial pint glass.
A- The label looks nice and it reminds me of the view of some of the lakes around Short's Brewing Company. It poured a slightly hazy pale straw yellow color that took on a golden hue when held to the light with two fingers worth of white head that quickly died down to a thin ring and didn't leave any lacing behind. This was a nice looking Light Lager, but it was a little hazy for the style.
S- The aroma starts off with a pretty high amount of medium sweetness followed by grainy, slightly bready, sweet malt and cracker like malt aromas followed by some typical Lager yeast aroma. The aroma was nice for a Light Lager and it was very true to style.
T- The taste seems to be pretty similar to the aroma and it starts off with a medium amount of sweetness followed by some bready, cracker, grainy, and sweet malts flavor that hold up nicely and impart just about enough malt flavor that this style can handle. Up next comes the lager yeast along with a real light doughy yeast flavor. On the finish there was no bitterness whatsoever, just a little more sweetness taking it's place and it had a bready and grainy aftertaste that faded fast. This was a pretty good Light Lager and it was very true to style.
M- Very smooth, a little crisp, clean, slightly creamy, light bodied, with a slightly higher amount of medium carbonation. The Mouthfeel worked well with this beer and it was very true to style.
Overall I thought this was an ok beer and very good example of the style, it was very true to style and it had all the aspects that I look for in the style, so far I would say there's hasn't been a Light Lager that I enjoy drinking more than this one. This beer had great drinkability, it was very smooth, clean, not filling, but the flavors didn't do the best job at holding my attention, but this style never does and as a session and all day drinking beer goes this is a good example of it and I think drinking a six pack through out the day wouldn't be a problem. What I liked the most about this beer was the how true to style it was, Short's didn't do anything crazy with this one, it's just a quality Light Lager the way it should be. What I liked the least about this beer was the appearance, I thought it was a little hazy for the style. I would buy this beer again when in the mood for the style and if I had a choice between this and all the other popular Light Lagers I would take this one for sure. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the style and it might make for a good brew to ease someone into to the Short's lineup. All in all I was happy with this beer, I love good craft beer as much as the next person but there's always a time and a place for a Light Lager and if I'm going to drink one I would prefer a quality one and that's exactly what this beer is. Good Job Shorts.
