Poured into a Tulip from a 4-day old Growler that was unopened. Part of a three growler tasting between friends during the Sugar Bowl. (Go Blue)
A - Very dark brown / black color pour, roughly a finger of head, minimal lacing.
S - Pecans and Chocolate come through with a hint of Carmel, roasted malts and possibly dark fruits.
T - Very good, had a chocolate taste with pecans up front with a nice and clean roasted malts/carmel finish. The alcohol was masked pretty well.
M - Low carbonation, relatively light for a stout.
D - This was a very good desert beer, my fiance enjoyed it a little more than I did but it was 2nd out of the three. This had a little more drinkability where I wouldnt have to stop at one but certainly too sweet for a session. Very interesting beer from Shorts!
