Poured out of a bottle as part of the 6/13 release.
A- Golden, with minimal foam head.
S- Strong citrus hops! Orange, grapefruit. Really smells like orange zest. Small amount of pine in the smell. Love it.
T- Biggest taste is the citrus hops. Very well blended, hard to pick out individual flavors. The orange and grapefruit are very apparent. Some caramel notes, and maybe a hint of ginger (????) on the back. Not quite sure what that flavor is, but I'll just go with ginger :). Just slightly bitter. Can't really taste the alcohol at all.
M- Light bodied, nice and crisp, but still smooth.
Overall, a really great beer. Nice and light on the alcohol, so that you can drink it all day (and I personally want to right now). Very crisp and summery. Strong hops but not to the point where it makes you take your time with it. Just a very drinkable beer!

Poured from a 22oz bottle, into my Schlafly tulip. No bottled on date, no label either! Bottle was an extra from stawn, who recieved it as a thank you for volunteering at GABF. Thank you! Love the name of this beer!
A - Pours a golden, light amber color with a slight haze & a thin head. Little lacing that stays for most of the glass.
S - Heavy piney, grapefruit & citrus. Solid malt nose too. Great balance in the aroma.
T - Doesn't totally match the aroma but still damn good. Bitter, piney, dry, citrus, pine. Hops are there, and strong, malt carries its own weight & balances nicely. Not getting any alcohol at all. Very easy drinking!
M - Medium mouthfeel, with good carbonation. Smooth drinking!
O - Great balanced APA! Everything is true to style, and very drinkable! Glad I got to try this one.

Dan’s Pink Skirt pours a nice gold color. Looks clear for the most part. Backlighting gives it a slight orange tint. It’s topped with an off-white head that rises to about a finger in height. It dissipates relatively quickly, leaving a moderate coat of sticky lace behind.
The nose is good. A little more strength wouldn’t hurt. It starts out with strong citric hop notes of grapefruit, orange, and pineapple. Perhaps even a hint of pine. The malt base seems to be a mix of pale and light caramel. It smells a little sweet, but the caramel is held pretty well in check. Smells like hops carry the day. Alcohol is blended well and isn’t all that noticeable. I believe it was listed as somewhere between 6.5% to 7%. Don’t recall the exact number.
The flavor is damn impressive. Hops are very strong from the first sip. They feature citrus pineapple, grapefruit, and orange flavors. It does have quite the bitter kick. There are some light, sweet malty notes, but they are secondary. They do their best to provide some balance, but there’s not much. This one is quite hoppy and bitter. There’s a hint of a toasted flavor that emerges late. It’s not bad, but doesn’t add much. Alcohol is light in the mix. Finishes toasty, hoppy, bitter, and dry.
The body is light-medium. Carbonation feels light and restrained. Given its body, it feels nice and smooth. Needless to say…it goes down super easy. I’m sharing the growler, but could easily finish it myself. It’d be damn tempting…to say the least.
Dan’s Pink Skirt is a really nice release from Short’s. If I recall correctly, this was listed as an American IPA rather than a Pale Ale. The abv (in this release) is also 6.5% to 7%. Whatever it is, it’s chock full of delicious hop flavor and bitterness. It also goes down far too easily. If you have the opportunity, check out Dan’s Pink Skirt. It’s excellent. Weird name…very impressive beer.

On-tap at the brewpub.
A: Slightly cloudy pale orange color. The pour dropped a small finger of off white head that left some nice lace.
A: Impressive nose of fruity citrus and some pine. I get some residual sweetness from the base malt, but this one is all about the hops.
T: More orange, pineapple, grapefruit, and pine sap. The floral citrus notes are great and pairs well with the small sweetness of the crystal malt. Finishes dry and bitter, no hint of alcohol.
M: On the lighter side on medium. Perfect carbonation.
O: This is one fine IPA. The low ABV makes it very easy to throw down quite a few of these. Great to have a growler of on a hot day at Torch Lake. Skal.

Growler from Short's pub poured into a pint glass. Pours a cloudy orange color. Smell is a mix of bitter orange peel and pine needles. Taste a bitter mix of orange peel and pine. There are some other interesting background flavors like peaches and fruit cocktail.
This has tons of flavor with a very low alcohol content.

On tap at HopCat on December 29, 2010. Served in an imperial pint glass.
Pours a moderate orangish-copper color with a two-finger white head and some pretty good lacing as it falls to a thin cap. The nose is pretty restrained but is well within APA territory. Some slight malt plus a good dose of mostly-citrus hops. Quite nice. The taste is a bit more toward the malty end and it doesn't quite balance with the flavors coming out of the hops, though it's not too far off. Mouthfeel is nice and light with good carbonation and a moderate level of bitterness for the style. Love the low ABV--this would definitely be quite quaffable on a hotter day.
