look: 4 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

Appearance - 4/5
A very bright orange, more on the golden/yellow side of orange. Very hazy. About 1 to 2 fingers of head. A good amount of carbonation can be seen rising up the beer. I love the bright color of this beer, as well as the haziness.

Smell - 3.5/5
Strong citrus hops, resin hops, slight notes of pine. Overall a fairly good IPA smell. Balanced.

Taste - 3.75/5
Lightly bready malts with a little spice. Grapefruit-resin hops with a hint of pine. Only a slight hint of bitterness.

Mouthfeel - 4/5
Medium-light bodied. Smooth. Carbonation is light. Only slightly bitter.

Overall - 3.75/5
Definitely easy to consume, and not very bitter. I understand why this is labeled a session beer, and I think it could serve that purpose well. I'm not super big on the taste, but I'm not a giant IPA fan either. If you like IPAs, I would give this a shot.

There aren't any other beers that I have had at less than 4% ABV that have this decent of a flavor. Move over bud and miller.

12 fl. oz. bottle
Served in a snifter

L - It is cloudy and amber in color with golden highlights. It is capped with a couple inches of off-white head that doesn't last long.

S - I get light citrus notes and a solid caramel malt backbone.

T - Much like the aroma I get understated citrus with grapefruit being at the forefront. A lingering bitterness builds in the aftertaste. It has a watered down taste that I find in all "session" IPA's

F - Moderate.

O - It's a decent beer. I am not a fan of the "session" IPA wave that is sweeping through craft breweries. I guess I don't appreciate the watered down taste of them. This is one of the better ones that I have come across though.

A - pours a murky orange / brown with a fluffy off white head. Nice retention and stick.

S - Citrus hops, floral, dank.

T - Hop forward, resinous, citrus smacks the tongue, balanced by malts. Extremely bitter on the back end.

O - Solid session IPA from Shorts.
