Bottle from over a year ago, thanks to Dan. Attractive apricot color, cloudy, tiny white head. Smell is sweetness & citrus hops. Taste is bitter citrus notes up-front, also sweet. On the sides of the mouth, bitterness. Going down, more bitterness. Finish is bitter, like grapefruit. Guessing this is a 8-9% IIPA. Mouthfeel light-medium, low carbonation, a little sticky. Overall I like the orangey/grapefruit flavor. But it's a bit of a one-trick pony and wears out its welcome pretty quickly. Its uncomplicated bitterness asks to be paired against something sweet, like a shot of bourbon.

Another bottle thanks to Another6Pack. Cheers, Trent!
It pours a clear golden colour with a small fine layer of foam that yields some nice lacing.
Oh my, the nose is so fresh and vibrant and balanced. It smells oily like in wet hops...grapefruit and pineapple dominate from the hop side. Throughout the nose, caramel malt provides the necessary sweetness to bring this beer to a balanced state.
Tasting provides proof that this is still a hop forward DIPA. Grapefruit and pineapple juiciness almost make my mouth pucker because of the rather intense bitterness but the caramel malt does play a part in tempering that bitterness. And, what's that word to describe the hoppy yet mildly malty presence in a beer of this style...oh yeah, dank. Earthy. Yummy.
A very nice mouthfeel with the medium body and carbonation with the alcohol not playing a major role.
A pretty different take on the style, imho, and a winner.

A -ruby reddish brown with good clarity and some haze. Big head produced after aggressive pour. Nice lacing and Stick
S - huge citrus bomb in the nose - orange rind, grapefruit, pineapple juice, and some caramel malts.
T - Follows the nose - big citrus blast, oily, piney, resinous. Full bodied mouthfeel.
O - Extremely solid DIPA -well done - lots of citrus complexities, but balanced nicely.

A - Copper color, pretty transparent. Cream colored head that dissipates rather quickly
S - Resiny piny/vegetal/mango hop aroma, caramel/leather smelling malts
T - Nice fruity hop taste that clings to the mouth. Heavy crystal malt backbone that balances out the heavy hop taste.
M - Carbonation is not overt, if not mild. Body is big, almost chewy and the alcohol is overwhelmed by the big amount of hops and malt.
O - This is a great DIPA, very well balanced but favoring the hop.
