Superfluid is an American Double India Pale Ale that explodes with a perfume of resiny hop aromas! A simple malt bill allows the hops to shine with flavors of coconut, pineapple, and tropical fruit. The perfect bitterness resonates across the palate, complementing the awesome hop intensity within.

Hazy straw with small head but a beautiful lace that stays.
Mouth feel is Full and Robust!
Taste is hoppy and piney, bitter on the backside and semi sweet on the front.
I like this beer, it could be a Summer or Winter beer. I've had this on tap at a pub, today's was In a can poured in a glass..
I recommend!

Scrappy notes from 2016.
6pk 12 ounce bottles purchased at Jungle Jim's Market in Fairfield, OH.
Boozy with tropical fruits, cantaloupe, pine. Malts are in the background and it's hop forward. A deep one that changes with each drink as the beer gets warmer. Floral and resinous. Very fresh tasting, strong/firm but not blasting with overall power. Very excellent!

Thanks to Whyteboar for this one.
Pours a beautiful gold. White fluffy head rises 2 fingers and slowly settles to a thin, consistent film. Really nice retention. Light, layers of lacing.
Aromas of sweet grain, pine resin, floral citrus, and coconut bring a thoroughly captivating combination.
Flavor follows the nose faithfully. The sweet grain, pine resin, and lemon blossom flavor starts off. But on the backside, some tropical pokes in as well: coconut, pineapple, and papaya. But the coconut is a pleasing, subtle find here. It's not heavy handed.
Mouthfeel is medium, slick, mildly carbonated, and has a gentle alcohol warmth.
Overall, this is a really nice DIPA.

Improved as it warmed. I've been on a DIPA/West Coast kick as I tired of NEIPAs, and was looking forward to this. The alcohol is too strong. This was poured in late March from a can dated to mid December, and there was very little malting or noticeable mellowing of the hops because all I taste is booze and grapefruit rind. The mouthfeel was decent, but the aftertaste can't hide the burn.

A stellar brew from the boys from Bellaire. Has that old school strong double IPA feel, smells like a pine forest, pairs excellent with pot.

Being in Michigan I am spoiled with great beer offerings any time of year. I usually transition from lagers/IPA's in the summer to darker Ales and stouts this time of year. I was browsing stouts and porters when my attention was suddenly interrupted, like an awesome surprise kiss by your junior high crush in front of your friends. There all by its lonesome self, a dirty-blond in the midst of brunettes. A pack of Superfluid. I had to get it. And then I decided to write a review. This in my opinion is one of the best DIPA's on the market. Shorts brewing is one of my favorite brewers, but they absolutely knocked it out of the stratosphere with this one! And reasonably priced at $8.49 at my local store.
Look: When poured a decent hazy golden hue, decent head that diminished after a short time. The lacing on the glass was splendid.
Smell: Great floral, pine, and citrus notes. Hops rule the day. Clean and crisp.
Taste: To me this is where this beer shines. It has a great initial taste of tropical fruitiness, followed by the slight, bot over powering malt with a bittery pine finish- perfection. There is a sweetness that is ever so slight in this beer- again perfect. Being slightly over 9% ABV, it is shockingly mild in the taste of alcohol- which can be very dangerous for some... lol! The mouth feel to me is slightly lighter than most DIPA's, but it runs pretty typical for an IPA. Savor the complex taste yet simple drink-ability!
