Brown glass bottle with standard pressure cap served into a Westvleteren goblet in Rome, Italy. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a half finger head, thick, without cream, and of abysmal retention. Transparent yellow colour.

Sm: Barley. That's it. Light in strength.

T: Stale barley alongside badly handled cream. Simple crap. No real balance or build.

Mf: Smooth and wet. A bit coarse on the climax.

Dr: Bad drinkability, low price, and low quality.

330ml bottle from local bar in Calabria, Italy. Pours a golden yellow with a small short lived white head. Aroma and Taste of grains, barley, some light citrus with a bit of nutty flavor. Palate is a medium body, light carbonation. Finish is grainy, cereal, barley with some light citrus and bitter notes, slightly refreshing. Overall an ok brew for a hot summer day.

A- clear golden. Big carbonation bottles. Head is super thick but doesn't last well.
S- Sweet grainyness, a bit like a graham cracker. Not much else.
T- There is a touch of honey to it, pale grainyness dries and evens it out quite a bit. Very mild.
M- Medium body, maybe considering the style it's a little firmer. Carbonation is about average. Not very dry.
O- It's a decent but not outstanding beer. It's passable among pure lagers.

I've just returned from a weeks holiday on the Amalfi Coast and hoped to review loads of new beers while over in Italy: I had only reviewed 8 Italian beers before the trip, this is the one and only new Italian beer I found (plus one from Denmark).

The large 66cl brown bottle had a year of life left when I poured it into a small 'Moretti' glass tankard (three times) at the 'Pub Birilla' street-side tables in the tiny resort village of Minori.

A lager is a lager, is a lager: this one was fine, a pale gold body with a good sized white head on each pour.

A little sweeter than a lot of Med pils/lagers, but pleasent enough. Very little aroma, gets my standard 3 for pils/lager smells.

This is just another mid-range lager, could have been brewed anywhere in the world and is aimed at the masses. Fine in the sun and on holiday, not the sort of thing I'd consider having at home unless someone else brought it to the house for some reason.

Poured from 66cl bottle into a clear tumbler. Best by 09 2010 on back label. Purchased at local grocery store in Bologna, Italy for 1.30 euros.

A: Pale yellow with short white bubbly head which dissipates quickly but leaves several lines of lace down the glass.

S: Pale malt with lots of graininess and a soft grassy hops

T: Frankly, this is better than expected with floral character with a decent blend of grainy edge, pale malts, and floral, lightly grassy hops. There is corn-dextrin late, but it doesn't detract too much from the overall flavor.

M: There is some body to this beer but not a lot. It isn't astringent thankfully and the aftertaste is sweet but mixed with some grassy hops.

D: I've definitely had worse beers, and I think the freshness of the beer helps somewhat. It may be a go to beer for this trip in a beer desert.

Poured from a bottle purchased for 0.99 Euros at a local grocery store on Lido Island just outside of Venice, Italy on or about 6 17 09. Purchased out of curiosity with no real expectations. Poured into a clean, clear glass.

A Looks like a basic lager. Translucent barely brown yellow body under a minimal head that dissapears quickly.

S Very little but maybe some malt.

T Weak taste with just a touch of malt barley taste.

M Thin. Boring. Like water.

D Fair but I will not seek this out again.

Notes: Unfortunately, another bad Euro Pale Lager.

Being a sucker for any new beer I had to try this once spotted at Purvis .
My expectations are not high , so as to avoid disappointment , but realism says this is going to be a run of the mill Euro Lager.
It is that
However it is a lttle more subtle than many of its cousinsand Having no bitterness and a repressed sweetness the flavour is not overpowering and I think would make an excellent lunch time drink to go with a large plate of anti-pasto

I had this brew not far from Milan. Poured from a 66 cl bottle, enblazoned with a stylized 'Dreher' on the label, it's an average looking, everyday lager. Yellow-gold in color, clear, with a sudsy white head. The aroma is faint, with a bit of cereal grains and grass. Not much else. The flavor is clean and crisp, but not deep. It's got a hint of malt and grain. There's essentially no hops in the flavor of this brew. Fairly low carbonation for the style, and dryer than many similar beers. This one's certainly below average, but not utterly undrinkable. It's certainly not what Anton had in mind.

66cl bottle. A beer which even the most accute of reviewers would have a tough time saying much about. I assure you I am trying to be constructive. However, this beer was honestly without taste, or aroma, almost without colour even. Perhaps one of the least offensive Euro lagers I've had, but also one of the "least" of everything else as well. Not hops nor malt can be detected. No texture, no head ... I left with no opinion really.
