As I thought about submitting this it occurred to me that there is a reason this place would have access to some better beers. As a high priced grocer appealing to an upscale market, the "wines and spirits" portion is pretty much the same. The exception being the prices are pretty much the same as elsewhere. The selection isn't as broad as, but it includes beers from Sierra Nevada, Kalamazoo, Victory and most Minnesota regionals. Additionally, they have single bottles at a set price for a 6-pack, which occassionally can work to the buyers advantage. Staff is courteous, but I've never been in a discussion about beer with them.
A guy can find something he likes in this store.

Connected to the grocery store which makes this a convenient place to stop if you need both. Full wall of beer in the coolers. Most of the beer they carry is refrigerated which is a plus. Small area for a make your own six pack. You'll find your run of the mill beers here. Schell, Summit, Sam Adams, but there were a few more unique beers also like Rogue. Only seemed to be one or two people working in the whole place. This meant they were basically at the cash registers the whole time. I would say that most of their prices are higher than what you would find at other area liquor stores. I would say this place is average at best.

A nice looking store, good wine selection, and it looked like a fair amount of wine on sale. Selection of liquors wasn't necessarily the largest, but they didn't waste much time with the bottom shelf, leaving more space for nicer quality selections.
Beer section was one wall of coolers, with beers ranging from standard BMC to some local (Schell's, Summit, et.) and larger ragional/national crafts (New Belgium, Goose Island, Sierra Nevada, etc.). One cooler was dedicated to a few bombers and import imperial pint bottles, mostly standard. A small area of singles for make-you-own-sixer in the corner. Overall, the beer selection was okay, but pretty much normal.
Service, as commented on by others, was nonexistant for beer, and even for the liquor area.
This store would be nice as a quick stop for some basics after grabbing groceries, but would not make my list of a store to stop into on its own.

I never knew this place existed until I went to Byerlys for a seafood sale. A small store with big bright lights and one person at the counter. Overall this is a middle of the road liquor store. They have the usually offering of American Craft beers. There are far better places to check out in Eagan, Apple Valley, and Burnsville.
The service was nothing more than a hello and goodbye. If your shopping at Byerlys and need to pick up a case of beer then this place has served its purpose. But dont make a special trip out to find any hidden treasures. You wont find em here

Located in a strip mall, right next to the Byerly's Grocery Store. I was not aware that any Byerly's liquor stores were still open. I guess I was misinformed. Very clean and classy looking place, although the prices didn't really reflect it. All of the usual suspects were there from the area, many regional and micro breweries. They have a make-you-own six pack feature that is nice, I was even able to find 6 beers of which I have never tried. Help was ok, I didn't want or need much assistance.
