This location of Broudy's in Fleming Island is located in the publix shopping center, near the corner of Highway 17 (Roosevelt) and Highway 220. Their main focus is as a liquor store, however they do have a small selection of craft beers in stock, both in the coolers and on a few dry shelves.
Their quality is average. It's similar to other bare bones ABC stores. They have a much better selection of spirits than of beers, but there's little other option on this end of town. Their service was pretty good for a small busy store. I went in with a list of beers to try (listed online on their website as being in stock) and most of them weren't available. As it turns out, the beers they list online aren't updated that often (if at all) or are in other stores inventory such as the Broudy's in Fruit Cove.
The staff was accommodating in searching their multi-store inventory for the beers I wanted to try. Their prices were reasonable and they didn't appear to be gouging people for the microbrews they did have in stock. After visiting them, I decided to check out the publix in the same shopping center on a lark, and discovered that the publix had just as good a selection of mix-and-match bottles on an end cap just prior to the 2010 Superbowl.

This is my usualy stop when i visit my parents in the Middlburg area if im looking to pick up some craft beer. Located in the corner of the Publix shopping center on CR220 it provides a some craft beer selections in what is basically craft beer wasteland for those looking to take some quality brews home. It's a decent sized store specializing in mostly spirits but does have a good selection of craft beer available in the coolers (mulit packs, bombers) and and a small on shelf section with some more multi packs and bombers. They also BYO 6 packs and give a discount on the individual bottle prices but there is no BYO 6pack section so the 6 packs in the coolers are often picked apart. The selection is pretty average with the usual suspects for the region available (DFH, Stone, SN, Lagunitas, Left Hand, Terrapin, Sweetwater) and of course some good FL beer like Cigar City and newere local brewery Bold City. The imports leave a little to be desired but they once again had some good old stand byes in Sam Smith's, Chimay, Spaten, etc. Service is never a problem as I'm always quickly greeted and have never had a problem getting help looking for back stock if something is out or checking their other locations inventory. Pricing is reasonable as they are not gouging for their craft beer eventhough they have little competition around them. All in all with the lack of other options this is a great store for the area, but in the grand scheme of things it's nothing exceptinal. If you're in the middleburg, orange park, flemming island area this is probably your best bet for beer without making a trek to a store in Jacksonville.

I've stopped by this store several times in the past whenever visiting friends who live in the area. At first I was quite surprised to find this store and its selection in this location... but this area of town has grown quite alot since I last lived there.
Broudy's has a fairly large selection encompassing many of the beers currently available in Florida. Lots of good Belgians and American micros here. Most of the usual suspects... Dogfish Head, Unibroue, Chimay, etc. They also carry an assortment of gift packs which are always fun. I got one that included the St. Bernardus 8, 10, Tripel, & Abt 12 plus a nice goblet. The last time I was there they also had Unibroue Edition 2004 750's for $6.99. Not bad if you ask me.
On top of the beer they also carry wines, liquors and there's a walk in humidor with cigars. Its your one stop shop for weekend fun!! As with most stores though, their service wasn't spectacular. It wasn't lacking, but nothing special either. You could tell that most of the employees had no real interest in what was going on there. One of them actually followed me around and was taking beers from my cart when I wasn't looking... I couldn't tell if he was trying to be funny or if he was just being a dick. Anyways, he shouldn't be doing that when someone is actually buying a cart-full of beers.
Overall though, I'm here for the beers and I will visit again whenever I'm back in the area. They also mentioned something about putting on a beer tasting in the future, so they may begin to get more involved in the craft beer scene.
