Sports bar food, which was alright. I went with an old steady, so that I didn't get thrown off too badly with greasy food. Was there to taste the beer, and, have to say, they did have a big selection with some unique beers. Nothing too hard to find though, but don't think too many people go there just for the beer. Judging by the atmosphere, it's for people ending their shopping day who want to get dinner and a drink.
Have gone a couple times now, and would go again, easy like Sunday Morning.

Went here last week on a quick trip to the area.
A- This place reminded me of a beer bar that was trying a little too hard to be hip. It was like a sit down and eat Bar Louie. Good background music playing but that was about it.
Q- I couldn't complain with the quality of the beer or food for that matter. The food was made in a timely manner and the beer tasted as fresh as it could out of a keg. Pints were not frozen which was nice for once.
S- Our waitress was pretty nice and outgoing. My beer glass never actually ran out. Beer smarts not really but then again I didn't really need help picking out a beer. It seemed though that once we were eating she didn't ask how the food was but did come when we were looking for the bill. That knocked it down half a point for me right there.
S- There were a lot of beers that were boasted. And to be honest there were. Although, there was a fair share of BMC products as well. I can't complain though and found at least 10 beers I actually wanted to drink.
F- Food was good. I had a burger and could tell you it was better than average. Nothing is over the top here but with only having the burger it really is hard to say that and feel 100% about it.
Overall this place was nice to eat at and have a couple pints. I wasn't use to pints being so much and that was a little turn off. I also didn't like the fact that our waitress said something was imported when it was made I would say within a 4 hour drive. Can't win them all I suppose.

Ok, first of all, I love this place. That being said, let me talk about how I love this place.
It's huge. And crowded. Noisy. TV's everywhere, music everywhere, people everywhere. If you like quiet dining with your beer, stay away. If you like to be in the thick of things, this is the place.
Great selection of beers. I usually get the 6-pack sampler and a shot of grey goose. I love beer but when I come here I'm in more of a party mood than sampling fine beers, so I do both. Went last night. Had two goblets of arrogant bastard and two grey goose over ice and the pepper crusted filet. A meal fit for a king!
They did bum me out when I ordered the Ruination for my second drink and was told they didn't have it. Damn, guess I have to have another arrogant bastard. Curse the luck.
The food is terrific. Is it costly? Don't have a clue, can't bear to look, just deduct it from the credit card later. The mashed potatoes are sooo good. My wife had an avocado burger. WTF? Steak on the menu and she gets a burger. She's cute like that.
Overall: I love this place!

Again, the happy hour saves this place
Notable taps are Lindeman's Framboise, Piraat Ale, Delerium Tremens, Gulden Draak, all Belgians, and all expensive out of the bottle
Bartenders think they know it all, but know nothing in my opinion, and they take forever to take your order
Located within Victoria Gardens outdoor mall
Super crowded all the time and the people that hang out there are something else
Not as many beers as the other 2 locations visited
Serve beers over 6% alcohol content in ten ounce goblets which also sucks
I have got to go to the Beer Hunter and see what it is like because it is right down the street from here and not too far from me

Atmosphere: This Yard House is in a shopping center called the River. It's very much like the Lakes in Thousand Oaks. I would call it nice, but trendy with no real charm, if it were in LA, but for the desert, it's a great place. They have good restaurants, a nice movie theater, and a good beer bar. I went on a Thursday night and it was packed, mostly with younger people (Not filled with cute chicks my age, but certainly younger than the retirees who live in all the country club developments). The music was pretty good too. Stuff like CCR, Rolling Stones, Animals, and Tom Petty.
Quality: The bigger beers were served in goblets and nothing was frosted.
Service: The waitress was friendly and she recommended the best beer on the menu, St. Bernardus Abt 12, for my friend. I didn't see it one the menu until she said it, so she helped me out as well.
Selection: They have a whole bunch of taps with a ton of crap and several gems. The St. Bernardus was out, so I ordered a Gulden Draak. They also had brews from Stone, Anderson Valley, Deschutes, Humboldt, Lost Coast, Mad River, Bayhawk, Portland, Rogue, Kona, SLO, Piraat, Belhaven, Paulaner, Spaten, Young's, etc. My jackass friend had a five minute cell phone conversation, leaving me plenty of time to take good notes.
Value: The beers were reasonably priced. I noticed that martinis are $9.25. Stick to beer.
Overall: The only other Yard House I've been to is the one in Pasadena. It's not worth leaving Lucky Baldwin's for that one, but this is a terrific addition to the sleepy Coachella Valley.

This Yardhouse was like any other Yardhouse that I've been to, but since it was not on here before I felt it should be added to let people know that there is a Yardhouse in Rancho Mirage. The place is nice, clean, again typical of other Yardhouse locations, with that trendy, impressive look. The atmosphere is nice, people are generally kind and laid back, the service was good, and the nachos were great. The nacho appetizer was enough for me and my girlfriend, and although she's not a big eater, I am, so I was surprised. Good selection of a lot of different types of beer. There aren't many stouts or porters, but I'm not a big porter/stout fan so I didn't mind at all. If you are, you may not like this place. Of course, being in Rancho Mirage (next to Palm Springs), it's hot as hell, so be prepared. Not inside of course, but as soon as you walk out those doors be ready. Parking was a pain in the ass the night I went (Saturday night) because this Yardhouse is at a place called The River, which is basically something like a Universal City Walk, only much smaller. All in all a nice place. If you have a family feel free to take them, dress is very casual, jeans and a t-shirt if you'd like. Prices are like any other Yardhouse, beer being between $4.50 and $6 for a pint, depending on what beer you order (imports are more expensive, of course), and two people can get away with about $20 for food. Of course, if you want the filet mignon and lobster tail it's going to cost you just a wee bit more, lol.
