Gonna keep this review very simple. 3 reasons why people go the the Jungle Room...
1. Great last call if you're looking for that "special" someone on one of the random poles
2. It's high enough you can get a breeze and throw stuff on people walking below.
3. It's next door to Upstairs where you can get an AMF and meet decent people.
Drink's are over-priced, nothing special to brag about and overall a confusing experience. It's like Sports but without the popularity. I feel like the same people I see at the Jungle Room have never left...ever. They could use some serious help on image.

This review is based on two visits over a one year span and both times were less than desirable experiences. Just visited there this past Wed before Thanksgiving. I was one of five patrons in the whole bar, and still, the service was horrible. The bartender just sat there and watched cartoons all night while we were waiting for her to serve us. I asked for water and a beer. The beer came, but then back to TV before serving water. It happened twice. My wife ordered a Pilsner Urquell draft and it came back looking like an amber ale. Poor quality. The server even said, "Sometimes the beer gets like that when the lines arent clean or the previous beer isnt flushed out all the way". Huh?? However, the server did give us a refund or a replacement beer, which was nice.
Of the thirty or fourty beers they had on draft, I was excited to try about four of them. Being form NC, I am always excited to drink some of Bells offerings. So, with the beer menu in hand, I ask for a Bells Oberon. Sorry we're out of that. Oh, no problem, just set me up with a Bells Double Cream Stout. Ummm, sorry, we're out of that too. Wow. Ok. How about Bells Two Hearted. Sir, this is so weird, but we are out of that as well. They did have one beer I asked for (Alpha King), but they were out of one more beer I requested later. All of the beers were on the menu, yet they were out of many of them. That was very frustrating, therefore I detracted from the selection scoring quite a bit.
Atmosphere was not bad. They have darts and pool in the back room and some guys were playing beer pong with $2.50 pitchers of Keystone Light. Lots of wood on the floor and ceiling. One nice aspect is that it is non smoking. I believe that is a recent change since smoking was allowed at this same time last year. I might go back because I like the atmosphere and the beer is okay, but I much prefer Scotty's.

An interesting set of bars, this Uncle Fester's. There are something like 3 or 4 bars that make up Uncle Fester's in Bloomington. The only one BA's would be slightly interested in would be The Jungle Room.
Situated atop a shopping complex on the busy commercial Kirkwood Avenue area, this drinking hole provides some great visual backgrounds. The bar is airy and dank all at the same time - the outside area is nice, and the inside is pretty cookie-cutter - but chokingly stuffy if all of the doors are closed. Darts, pool tables, video games. College bar staples.
The tap selection numbered about 40, with 75% or more dedicated to local and micro brews. A large percentage encompassed the two local breweries, Upland and Bloomington Brewing. There was also a good amount of space dedicated to regional favorite Bell's. There were a few low-grade choices as well, including Bud, Blue Moon, and Miller. Lots of good beer choices, and on Saturday pitchers are half-off. I had my pitcher of Two Hearted for less than $7.
The waitstaff is fairly nice, if a bit aloof. Its all about being heard in a college town, don't expect service if you aren't ready to make yourself heard. Friendly and courteous after that.
The food was very good, much better than your average pub-grub. Lots of veggie choices, and good standards.
A very nice place for the locals, but nothing to drive out of your way for. I'll be back when i'm in town.
