Located right in the French Quarter, a perfect place for a good brewpub. I was pre-warned about this place, and that I should not have high expectations. We went out looking for a good restaurant and I had been talking about Crescent City, having read a few mixed reviews, although nobody went as far as to give it excellent marks. My son said he had been to Crescent City Brewery a few nights before and tried two different beers. He said after the first beer he wanted to give them another chance, but after the second beer he was ready to continue sightseeing. Upon entering, my son said "Yep. This is the place. Don't get your hopes up too high". I liked the layout of the place, which seemed warm and friendly to the traffic from the street. But from the first sip of my first beer (a pale ale, I recall). I was not at all impressed. Too bad. This is an ideal place for a brewpub in a fascinating city. This brewpub looks great inside and from the outside. Now Crescent City just needs to work on perfecting their beers.

Certainly, here's a more straightforward and concise review:
**Crescent City Brewhouse: A Touristy Stop**
My mid-day visit to Crescent City Brewhouse in November was typical of a tourist experience. The food, including New Orleans classics like jambalaya, was decent but aimed at the masses, and the prices reflected the place's fame.
The beer selection featured regional and local options, catering to those seeking a taste of the area. However, it might not satisfy serious beer enthusiasts looking for a diverse range.
In summary, Crescent City Brewhouse is a touristy stop offering a glimpse into local flavors, but it's not the best choice for a dedicated beer experience.

Nice wood bar with brewing operation behind it. Bartender was as very friendly and service was great. The Pilsner and Weiss bee were by far the best offerings. Food was ok. Definitely worth a stop.

This brewery offers 5 full time beers, as well as a rotating seasonal that they were apparently out of. Beer and food is overpriced, they even add a 4% charge for paying with a credit card, wtf. Beers weren’t offensive but didn’t stand out, probably wouldn’t come back.

One of the main stay locations in New Orleans. Selection of beers does not appear to change; red stallion seems to be the quotation go to, or front runner – no pun intended. Table service was good, Food was good. A nice place to drop in, drain a glass and continue the adventure.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a flight. Place was pretty empty (Wed early dinner ~5:00). I had been here 15 yrs earlier. Place really had changed from my memory. Beer is still average. Food is average bar food. But it was quick and the staff was good. It served its purpose.

Stopped by for dinner and a few beers.
Beer choices were good.
Had the seasonal Alt and the Black Forest, both beers were tasty.
Our server Steven was super nice and attentive.
Food choices were meh, nothing special.

The vibe is cool...neat decor nice location. The quality of beer is average but food was Excellent. The service was good....but I got the running out of taster glasses too...buy they accommodated me...very busy so can't hold the bar keep to giving me too much attention. There seems to be plenty to choose from. I had the seafood gumbo....yummy. Overall it's located in the French quarter.....why not visit it?

Average to poor beer quality and only had a few to choose from. Several people in our group asked for flights and the waiter said they were out of glasses. After asking manager, the waiter went downstairs and grabbed flight glasses (there were plenty for each of us). Overall, poor and unfriendly service. The food was the only redeeming quality. Crawfish ettoufee was pretty tasty. If I'm ever in New Orleans again, I will not be going back.

This place has a great location and some decent beers to try, but the beer is nothing great. It doesn't have anything off about, but it doesn't anything exciting about either. The food is solid and it has an awesome vibe especially if sit out on the balcony. The service I received was excellent and professional. It is a fun place to check out, but if you are looking for great craft beer, then you will be disappointed.

Located in the southern edge of the French Quarter. The building is old giving it a rustic ambiance, but the selection was minimal and the beer was just average.

We ate outdoors on the patio in December, food was spicy and tasty, beer was average, wait was a tad long. Nice view of the park and The French Quarters.

We walked into this place (crescent city brewhouse) and the first thing they said was that they're known for their beer. I can categorically agree, though probably not in the way they want. Probably in the worst 5 breweries I've visited.

One of our favorite stops in NOLA. Not a big fan of other beers in this town, but Crescent City does a solid job with beer and food.

Was so pumped to stop in here when I was in New Orleans as it was literally a block away from hotel... What a disappointment. We finally got in right before a cocktail tour we were going on that met up nearby and sat at the bar. Bar tender came up and when I asked about the beers he started to talk to me about all the other brewery beers. I had to explain I wanted CRESCENT CITY beers. He said oh, here, and showed me a little plastic ad stand with 4 beer options in it. I had their "special" which was the IPA and it literally tasted and smelled like Bourbon Street. That being said, by the time I was done I was actually enjoying it, but was a bit disappointed. No clue about the food...

Pretty standard old school, chain brewpub vibe, near Jackson square, right in the heart of the French quarter. The beer is ok at best and they only had 4 varieties on tap when we were there. Service was decent, but I'm sure it gets a bit dicey when crowded. If this were located just about anywhere else it would struggle to justify its existence, as it is it's about what you'd expect in the most touristy part of the city and the out of touch, lackluster beer is almost a decent option for the area.
