Review from BeerAdvocate magazine Vol. II Issue XI:

Triple? Could be some confusion, as the name is suggestive of the "triple fermentation" process and not the actual Belgian Tripel beer style.

Hazy orange-amber color; a decent looking head on top with a few rings of lace on the glass. Slight grainy, mineral nose; an almost steely smell with a gummy cherry fruitiness. Smooth with a dry body and thin malt character. Mild cherry flavor with a faint medicinal tone that hits middle to end. Minimal hopping shows very little bitterness or flavor. Slight musty yeast flavor runs with the dry finish.

Easy to drink, and it does have a bit of a refreshing quality, but there is not much from the malt or hops--even the cherry flavor seems weak. Cerise missed its target.

Poured into a tulip glass.

A: Pours like a pale ale with a light red hue. Not very much white head, and it disappears leaving no lacing. Boo.

S: A very pleasant light cherry aroma with a light malt overtop it. Yummy smelling.

T: A very thin beer. The fruity cherry flavour is so light, but is perceptible above the even thinner bready malt. Finished very dry. Much too light.

M: The carbonation is light, but works for the beer. If it sparkled more it would likely kill the flavours.

D: Wouldn't buy it again.

Bottle: Poured a light clear brown almost turning to red color ale with a medium size foamy head with some retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light tart cherry with some nondescript malt. Taste is also dominated by some tart cherries though not enough to make a real impact with some malt also showing. Body is pretty average with OK carbonation. An interesting base but unfortunately lacking some character.
