Pours a hazy, pale straw color, generating a substantive foamy head of bone white. After 5 minutes or so, this mostly recedes, leaving thick gobs of lacing uniformly from its original height on down.

As soon as I smell it, I wish I were enjoying this in summer. It's yeasty and bready, with notes of pears, apples, and lemon oil. And dandelions. On the tongue, it is all of this and more. It is tart without being sour, quenchingly bitter, and maybe even tannic.

It's light and bright, and slightly sweet. Carbonation is soft. This is easy to drink, and would seemingly pair with almost any food. It's a nice beer.

Poured from a 33 cl bottle into a teku.

A: Golden hue. Continually rising effervescence. Pours a 2 finger, tight, bubbly white hood. Settles to a thin layer of foam. A slight bit of spider web lacing.

S: Yeast, coriander, and clove.

T: Tastes like it smells... yeast a little lemon pith and some coriander and peppercorn.

M: Light and a little bitter sweet. Pepper remains in the aftertaste.

D: Sessionable.

Atmosphere is pretty good. Nice effervescence and head, a little spider web lacing. Nose is yeasty and spicy. Yeast, citrus pith, and spice. Overall, this is a pretty good quaff.

Drank from my Mane Liquor tulip.

A - Pours a clear honey colour, with a two fingered head that reduces quickly, but does lace.

S - Plenty of yeast (Belgian) plenty of citrus and a little funk

T - HAs a bit of funk up front, and the hop is submerged and not present enough. The yeast too dominant. Bits of citrus and grain also present.

M - Medium body and mouthfeel.

O - Not a bad BdG but Tres Monts is a far better example.

Pours amber with a large white head.
Nose shows doughy Belgian yeast, spicy phenols and orange peel.
Pretty similar flavours, more orange peel, spicy phenols, light malt and cinnamon. A little heavy on the spices but still nice.
Good moderately high carbonation.

Coming in a 330ml slim brown bottle, BB 31/08/2014, served lightly chilled in a long-stemmed wine goblet.

A: pours a translucent dim golden colour, coming with a thin sheet of off-white foam to last and constant but moderate streams of carbonation.
S: I thought I’d be forgiven for mistaking this beer as a pasteurised malty and fruit estery brew by some larger breweries in the UK, if I was sniffing it blind-folded? Upfront comes a dense wave of thick sweetness (as of melted crystal-sugar and also boiled dark sugar cane juice) from pale malts, underlined by cooked-fruit-like esters and… sweet ginger essence(?); a swirl would bring up the more diverse aroma elements as in sweet citrus, sickly perfumy green apples, sweetened pineapples, coriander seeds, etc. Overly sweet and very unbalanced.
T: the foretaste is sour-sweet fruit estery, aromatically and sweet spicy, and very messy in terms of the overall flavour elements; the main theme has a lot of fruit esters to showcase, but quite thin-bodied at the same time with a dose of sweetness too much to float on top of an equally weak platform, while the alc. is all so easy to notice on the palate. As the beer breathes over time, the herbal/spicy esters come forward to complement the main malt and estery body, rendering an aftertaste which is tad drier and slightly chewy due to the zesty hoppiness emerging belatedly, but the lingering unwanted sweet touch is still too much to my liking…
M&O: moderately effervescent, medium-minus bodied, the flavour profile is intended to be complex but the result is a messy beer where the esters rein freely, hops fail to compete despite so much effort invested (3 hop varieties?) and the attenuation level could’ve been tuned higher to render a better drinkability. I really find very little to like about this beer, so will not try it again for sure.

an 11.2 oz from half time enjoyed chilled slightly in a can shaped glass.

The color is deep golden with light hazed with thick white cap with average sized bead and spots of lace cling. The smell is fruity with some light apple-like aromas with mild spice esters from the yeast. The feel is good, moderately carbonated with slightly warming alcohol and spiced texture with mild sweetness and semi-dry finish.

The flavor is somewhat herbal from the hops with a light fruit tinge from the yeast which has a subtle apple/pear like flavor with mild sweetness from the malt and a slightly honey like tinge with subtle grainy quality. Overall this is a tasty bier with some nice yeast components in the flavor with mild maltiness and fruitiness making for an interesting belgian ale. I would recommend this if you enjoy the style.
