Tria is a great addition to the already impressive Philadelphia beer scene. Inside it first appears to be somewhat upscale and yuppy-like. It is somewhat classy and probably more of a date place than hang out and drink beer with the guys kind of place. However do not let that mislead you.

But that being said, the beer list is on the small side but thoughfully selected. There are about 8 drafts and around 20 bottles (a selection of American craft including local and a several Belgians, one or two Germans and British ales) There is no 'crap' here at all. Representative beers from most styles are on hand (pilsner, wheat, pale ales, ipa, stout, several Belgian ales). Prices are reasonable and on par with other establishments in the area. What impressed me the most was the service. Our server came immediately when our glasses emptied and was even patient with us when we weren't sure yet of our next selection. The place also has a pretty impressive wine list (although not cheap!) and a very interesting selection of finger food/appetizers (including several cheese plates).

Overall, I'd say it easily could hold its own with many other top drinking establishments in Philly. It's a nice break from the other big boys. Oh ya, and it's non-smoking too.
