A - Foggy orange with white not so dense head, and not a ton of lacing.

S - Lots of citrus but not too aromatic overall.

T - Huge taste of orange with bitter hops countering the sweetness and heat from the alcohol. Underlying malts leave a taste of caramel which gives way to a earthy hop aftertaste.

M - Medium body with nice biting carbonation. Oily resinous mouthfeel that lingers.

O - At first I did not like this. The initial taste of orange was too much and reminded me of brass monkeys from college. After enough sips the hop flavor, which comes out strong in the aftertaste, balanced the fruityness. Ultimately this is still a bit too fruity for my liking but still very enjoyable.

Bomber w/o bottling date/freshness info

Pours clouded darker apricot, quality looking khaki head, stays nicely, then goes to a fine bubble film and leaves spotty lace.

Tropical fruit nose with pineapple coming forward.

Tasty DIPA, tropical notes, lime, spice, more pineapple, well hoped with pine and resin, enough malt to boost drinkability and quite pleasant on the palate.

Love the style, like everybody else in BA, this is an quality example and well worth a try.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours moderately hazy orange amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big orange zest, lemon zest, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pear, caramel, floral, pine, grass, honey, bread, toast, and floral earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus hops and caramel/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of orange zest, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, peach, floral, pine, grass, light caramel, bread, toast, light honey, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, peach, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, light honey, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops with a moderate caramel/bready malt balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a slick, fairly creamy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good imperial IPA. Very nice balance and complexity of citrus hops with moderate caramel/bready malt balance; and very smooth to sip on for the gravity. A very enjoyable offering.

Burnished amber with a 1 finger ecru head which lasts for a spell leaving nice lacing.Definately effervescent.

Aroma is an equal blast of sweet malt and dank hops.

Taste is evenly balanced with the dank oily hops blended with a steep malt bill, with a touch of syrupy sweetness to it, certainly qualifies a big beer.A touch of booze is present, mostly in the throat. Moderate bitterness continually tempered by the malt sweetness.

Mouthfeel is slightly oily, a bit on the heavy medium side for the style, and slightly prickly carbonation. This one is a sipper, and the finish isn't even near dry.

Overall, those that appreciate big hops and equally big malt will appreciate this one. If a dry finish and tropical aroma/taste are important qualities to you, you might want to pass.
