Rampage is a citrus bomb with candy sugar and caramel sweetness to cover the high alcohol. It's not the crispiest, or drying, so not necessarily typically IPA-ish. I'd like to have it fresher. Of course that's my fault, because my buddy Fred got me this fresh and I shit the bed and didn't drink it fresh.

Still, way enjoyable.

Bomber w/o bottling date/freshness info

Pours clouded darker apricot, quality looking khaki head, stays nicely, then goes to a fine bubble film and leaves spotty lace.

Tropical fruit nose with pineapple coming forward.

Tasty DIPA, tropical notes, lime, spice, more pineapple, well hoped with pine and resin, enough malt to boost drinkability and quite pleasant on the palate.

Love the style, like everybody else in BA, this is an quality example and well worth a try.

Rampage Imperial IPA pours out a bubbly clear amber color with a small head. The aroma is great, there's heavy citrus and pine hops, with a nice caramel malt base. The taste is very heavy on sweet citrus hops and zest at first, then a little bit of an awkward place where the caramel malts are kinda in a taste purgatory with the piney hops. The finish straightens everything out with more of the sweet citrus and grapefruit. The mouthfeel seems a little light and perhaps a bit too overcarbonated. The drinkability is solid. Overall, this is a good double IPA. Those who like a sweeter DIPA should really love this.

From a 22 oz bottle ordered from Letspour.
Pours a yellow gold with 1/2 inch head.
Light aroma of a laundry room and melon rind.
Significant carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors are big on the hop end...slight grass, grapefruit, earth. There's a touch of oxidation from shipping, I'm guessing, but it's not major. Overall a flavorful hoppy malt monster with a great elephant label design.

Orange with beige 1 finger fluffy head. Head quickly dissipates, leaving practically nothing behind. Very light lace. Nice color, though.

Nose is biscuit malt and a mix of grapefruit and earthy hops. Light pine and orange sneak in underneath.

Raw orange, thin grapefruit, and musky biscuit come out in the taste. Hops are more herbal than floral, but the biscuit is all over it. Finish is dry, but not arid. More fruit in the finish, albeit sour fruit.

Wants to be chewy, but the malt backbone is just a bit thin. Feel more than taste the abv. Definitely packs a wallop.
