A collaboration with our friends over at Nectar’s. This hazy session was brewed with wheat, rye, Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo and dry-hopped with Australian Enigma. Fresh beer served daily!

It’s been a few years since I’ve had this beer unfortunately. I don’t remember much about the characteristics. Except the name hit the nail on the head. It was hazy.
Oh, and easily the best tasting session IPA I’ve ever had. What’s really unfortunate is that it’s not one of their regular brews. Count yourself lucky if you’ve had it, or come across it recently.

On tap at Vermont Tap House. They poured into a tulip. The appearance was a semi-hazy ruddy burnt orange to moldy brown color. Thin cap of a small white head has some foamy lacing after dissipation. The aroma had a huge amount of sweet wheat up front with some bitter citrus rind. Subtle pine hits appropriately. The flavor mainly keeps the sweet wheat up front initially, the citrus and piney hops blend in underneath. Sweet wheaty aftertaste sliding into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice crisp smooth sweetness strolling about my tongue. Fairly low carbonation. Overall, as a session IPA, well, it’s a bit fuller than expected.

Poured from an undated can purchased at the brewery 24 hrs ago.
A - Surprisingly clear, slightly carbonated, with a nice white frothy cap.
S - Nice biscuit, touch of tropics mix well with a bit of pine.
T - Closely follows the nose, pine forward, tropical finish.
M - Light on the palate, crisp feel, with a semi sweet finish.
O - A nice session ale, hops are a bit muted, but the offering is enjoyable.
Cheers
