Dusky copper/amber color with a little bit of head on it. Smell was mostly malts with some hops hanging around the background. Taste was pretty much the same. Some hops blended in more in the middle to give it that bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel with a dry finish. Pretty much average all around.

Poured a medium copper hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell was was well balanced. A citrus hop aroma blended nicely with a grainy presence.

There taste was likewise balanced. A nice crisp grapefruit hop flavor supported by a solid biscuity malt body.

The mouthfeel was good with good carbonation.

Overall a higly drinkable ESB. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid.

Tap handle is a motorcycle handle complete with switches and hand brake...
Appearance is nice, low carbonated amber orange with a 1 finger ivory head that lasts. Tons of solid lacing that all stays together.
Smell is of sweet malt and iced tea that's been slow brewed. Mild bit of hops in the aroma.
Taste is of sweet malt and iced tea again with some caramel and vienna malt like flavors coming through.
Mouthfeel is mild and smooth with sweetness and bitters that are well balanced, leaving a sweet tea like linger after the swallow. There's a mild hop pop with some malted grain and a mild sourness that is really decent.
Drinkability is nice and refreshing. Not heavy at all and do-able.

First had: on tap at American Flatbread, Burlington, VT

Not retired. Had on tap 4/21/12. Clear amber-brown color with a thin layer of wispy bubbles for a head, that exhibited good retention despite its size. Aroma of toasted grains, sweet malts, light herbal hops. Similar taste, with nice toasted grains, caramel, sweet malts, earth, gentle hops, just enough bitterness. Medium mouthfeel, smooth, soft carbonation...not an overly tremendous beer, but very drinkable to the point where I could enjoy it during an entire night's session.

Minus the presence of a small yet lasting head, this beer reminded me a lot of my recent homebrewed ESB, and that gives me a nice confidence boost. :)

Served a cloudy amber color with a light headskie. Nice and smooth. Bitter, but not "hoppy," just bitter enough to be extra special. Malt flavors are nice and full. Overall a very solid brew which I look forward to sampling again soon. Very soon.

Had this one on cask. Quickly dissipating head with spot lacing. Slightly cloudy. Some hops in the aroma. Very balanced taste. Malt upfront with nice smoothing hops. Mouthfeel was smooth as silk. A really good version of the style and ver well-rounded.

Had a couple of pints and a "Revolution Flatbread" last weekend...

Appearance: Poured rusty red, with a cream-colored head that left moderate lacing on the glass.

Smell: Resinous and yeasty, almost musty on the second sniff.

Taste: First few sips were heavily resinous and quite bitter - they may have gone a little overboard on the hops with this batch? However, the flavor improved significantly with food, as the bitterness toned down enough to let some very nice caramel and malt flavors come through.

Mouthfeel: Average, maybe even a bit thin, and quite dry. Odd, as most ESB's I've tried lately have been heavy verging on chewy.

Drinkability: Excellent session beer material. Of course, that's a good thing if you're trying to consume a large pizza along with it...

Had on tap at the restaurant in Burlington. Amber in color, I picked up mostly malt in the aroma, with some characteristics of canned brown bread. Mouthfeel was medium. I find it a bit dry, although still smooth. Not bad, just not as standout a brew as the lagers that were on.
