I had the 5th Anniversary TLA at their celebration, and it was great. The aroma of this is just crazy, it smells like a bag of fresh hops, and you can really taste all the complexity of it. It's got a amber to almost reddish color to it and it holds a nice decent head for a while. I'm not sure if they just called it the 5th anniversary or if it was different from their normal one, but it was really great. Something about it was just so good!

Had on tap at Flatbread in Burlington.

A: Slightly hazy golden orange, little carbonation bubbles releasing to the top. One finger white head that dissipated quickly, decent lacing.

S: Some citrus and pine notes, but not in your face, much more on the subtle side.

T: More pine than citrus on the taste profile. There is a little bit of lemon rind though. Nice bready malt backbone.

M/D: Medium bodied, very crips, leaves a slight bitterness. Very drinkable, was a good beer to go with my pizza.

Served in a pint glass.
This version has been mixed with some of the Sim City IPA that was previously on tap.

Pours a cloudy orange/gold color with a one finger white head that leaves medium lacing. Hoppy aromas of grapefruit and pine. There is a light pine flavor up front that mellows into a smooth grapefruit finish with no bitter aftertaste. Light bodied, medium carbonation, this IPA leaves a very clean mouthfeel. The smooth, balanced finish leaves you craving another sip to taste those delicious hops.

On tap March 15th, 2008

Very nice IPA! The hop mix seemed to bring out some nice mixtures of fruit and bitterness. The floral nose was a nice change after the stout at an earlier pub. Very nice golden color, with a mild white head. It seemed to be well carbonated, but not overly so. A very drinkable beer, with a clean finish.

My new favorite local IPA.

a - Golden yellow to almost burnt orange. A nice head that doesn't last too long.

s - Pine, citrus, weed, some caramel breadiness. A really nice hop aroma. So fresh smelling.

t - Lots o hops without being overpowering. Good maltiness that lends just a touch of sweet at the end. Citrus again, grapefruit with a real bite but manageable.

m - Medium carbonation and not too heavy despite a solid malt backbone.

d - Very. I usually have two at a sitting. After that the mouth starts to itch for a bit more malt.

Overall a geat beer. Not extreme but a very solid IPA. Consistently enjoyable.
