On tap at American Flatbread Burlington. Served in a wine glass.

Appearance - Deep orange. Hazy. Nice white head. A bit of lacing and surface wisping.

Smell - Whoa, simcoe. Grapefruit, garlic. You can smell the crystal malt, also. It has that raw sugar aroma to it.

Taste - Grapefruit and a strong caramel malt. Crystal malt sweetness, but it isn't cloying. Medium low bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium to medium heavy. Well carbonated.

Overall - The simcoe and crystal malt make a strong statement. If you like both of those things, you'll like this. I find them both to be very intense flavors.

Poured into a pint glass.

Pours an amber-honey color with a small white head, nice lacing, lightly carbonated. Strong cirtusy hoppy aromas leaving no doubt your drinking an IPA. Lemony, grassy flavors up front with a dry apricot finish, you can feel the hops all the way down your throat.

On tap at Zero Gravity in Burlington. Another very good beer in a long line of very good beers in Burlington. It had that typical hazy orange look but didn't smell or taste as fruity as I was expecting. It was there, especially grapefruit and apricot (?) but a little danker then, say, Double Play IPA. Went down real easy, very smooth, and I could easily have had another except it was early and I had a full day of drinking ahead of me. Another reason why I say Vermont is the beer capital of the world.

Flatbread is celebrating ipas for the month of April. This is an ipa brewed with Simcoe hops.

Color: Light copper/amber color with one finger head.

Aroma: Hoppy and floral. Malt character is mild.

Taste: Wow. Very nice simcoe character. Smooth and mildly floral. Bready.

Mothfeel: Decent hop bitterness. Just right. Smooth.

Drinkability: Very drinkable for an ipa.
