When I made it to Burlington it was really rainy and I was getting tired fast so I decided to head down to American Flatbread, have a few beers, and get some flatbread to go. I had a devil of a time trying to find this place in the rain but I finally found it and scored a seat at the bar. Very nice space with tons of people milling around waiting for their tables to be ready. I got served quickly and my servers were nice and kept my glass full. Quality was very high all around. My beers were good and my flatbread was great and made with high quality ingredients.
The selection was pretty good. Tons of different beers plus their IPA on cask with some extra hops added. Most tasted pretty good, I liked the stout best. I got a half and half flatbread to go, half New Vermont Sausage and half Dancing Heart. I loved the Sausage half, I could not stop eating it, the other half was good but I wish I would have went with one of the other toppings, like the pepperoni and peppers, as they smelled amazing. Overall a really nice place to stop and have some beers and a pie. I will definitely return next time I am in Burlington.

This was stop #9 for my wife and I on a 9-day East Coast pub crawl and a family visit. The brewery is located in a storefront setting in the busy downtown area. It appears that there is an outdoor eating area in an open space next to the building. (We visited the pub on the day that they closed the street in front in order to have a 10th Anniversary celebration, and the place was packed inside, on the patio and in the street.)
We stopped here to try their beers, and we also ordered a snack to go along. There were 14 beers available, but since this brewery did not offer a sampler flight we did our best to evaluate their beers by ordering 4 pints. Each of them was brewed to style, and each had characteristics that exceeded the style slightly so that overall we scored our 4 beers at a B-minus grade. The Conehead Wheat IPA was the notable one of our selections.
The pizzas that we saw being delivered to adjacent tables looked and smelled good, and our bread sticks that we ate were very tasty. However, this review does not include a score for this category.
The descriptions of many of the other beers sounded tempting, and we would have enjoyed tasting them is samplers were available. But we know our limits, and it had been a long day. We’ll come back here to try some of the other beers if we’re ever back this way again.
