Pours a dark brown with little to no head. Aroma is a dry black patent malt and just a hint of cardboard.
Taste is a robust, roasty, dry patent malt blended with a bit of chocolate malt. A light coffee flavor with just a brush of lactic sweetness. I wouldn't characterize any bitterness or hops, just an exceptional dryness. Chocolate and coffee emerge more distinctly as it warms.
Mouthfeel is medium, smooth, but not too lively. Could be an older bottle, still very well-rounded and tasty. I could session this one.
