Poured into a Sam Adams "perfect pint" glass.
Dark colored brew, but under bright light, the clarity can be seen with some dark ruby hues. The head was quite thick, reminiscent of a Root Beer; however, it was more effervescent than frothy or creamy.
On the nose, a typical roasted aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. There is more emphasis on the chocolate.
The taste is above average but not earth-shattering. There is a chocolate taste and it's layered with roasted malts. The expected lactose or creaminess is absent in the flavor as well as the mouth feel given that this is a Milk Stout.
The carbonation, again, is more soda-like in the mouth instead of frothy or creamy. While there is plenty of it, I would've preferred to sense the head in a more delicate manner.
This was a pretty easy drinking beer, appropriate for the style; it went down quick and easy (much like a cheap whore).
The drinkability and mouthfeel improved with time as the intensely carbonated head withered away. Perhaps with such a volatile pour, some settling time should be exercised to appreciate the depths of the beer.

Very carbonated. Poured with a very tall tan head. A lot of carbonation which you can tell based on the pop of the bottle cap. The beer itself is dark brown. Smells of roasted malts, slight coffee and chocolate. Nutty and bready too. The taste is of dark, roasted malts as well as chocolate and espresso. It's a medium bodied brew that's smooth and sticky. Very solid beer here.
