A-Pours an opaque black with a one/two finger brown head.
S-Pretty powerful nose IMO. The roasted malts are definitely present but what stands out the most to me is the sweetness of the aroma. A sweetness the smells of candied sugar and dark chocolate.
T-The tastes opens up with a nice roasty flavor that you would expect and is followed by a subtle sweetness. Not as sweet as the nose lead on, but I am still picking up notes of dark chocolate and figs. No alcohol taste to speak of which is surprising considering it's 9% ABV.
M-Nice thick creamy mouthfeel with a mild amount of carbonation.
O-Exceptional beer, easily my favorite offering from Duck Rabbit. The smokey and roasted malts are balanced perfectly by a dark fruit/chocolate sweetness. Be careful though those ABV's will creep up on you since you cannot taste them in the beer you forget its strength. Will definitely be seeking this beer out in the future.
