Bottomless brown with a magenta kicker, this beer is adorned with a briar-colored head, which at first pour spans the breadth of the glass. Soon the head begins to drop, spotting the face until finally a simple but tenacious atmospheric ring remains clinging on the perimeter.
The nose is astounding, leading with full sweet fruits drizzled in chocolate and caramel. Molasses and sweet alcohol notes brandish in turn. Brown sugar can be found cavorting with hints of floral hops and dried apricots.
The prodigious quality of this beer is continued in the flavor arena. Within the viscid weight is bound up cola, cane and booze. This heady potion backs up the hints we found inside the nose. Darker fruits they rear their heads these plums, currants and goose. ‘Till once again in brew review, my way I've come to lose. When not rhyming but describing notes is what I have to choose, (I know I'll cringe on reading this once waking from my snooze.)
As my manner of verse is more Dre than Dickinson, I hereby return this review to a more palatable format. It concludes in less than poetic fashion with the following statements:
Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter is syrupy and sweet with a warming alcohol presence. The nose is sweet and dark and full, and the delightful flavors follow suit. This beer is outlandishly drinkable.
It be some truly moby hooch.
