Pours near total black into a sifter. A slight brown head quickly appears and lingers. Carbonation appears evident. If you told me this was a RIS I wouldn't question it.
Smell is relatively muted. A slight sense of sweetness is evident more than anything.... no real alcohol in the nose.... some very light notes of chocolate/toffee.
Taste is sweet upfront.... the malt really takes center stage and finishes with a kind of light lactic sourness. All in all a rich taste with no sense of alcohol.
Mouthfeel is nicely creamy... very smooth, somewhat heavy, but the finish is a little harsh for me, and as a result drinkability is a little lower than it would be otherwise. A very solid offering from Duck Rabbit.
