In the Flanders Red tradition we take our Buckshot Amber Ale and ferment it again with wild yeast and bacteria while it ages in oak barrels for two years or more.
Once mature, the American Sour is hand racked into bottles, sealed with wax and stamped as a Celler Series release.
Enjoy now or store in a cool, dark place - like the cellar. The beer will continue to age in the bottle, and many people attest it only gets better with age.

Appearance: Pours chestnut brown with a frothy ecru head; a few strands and a lot of viscous dots hand around
Smell: Lactic black cherry tones with a hint of caramel underneath
Taste: Lactic black cherry with strawberry and currant tones; a touch of caramel in the base, as well as an earthy aspect; puckery and acetic in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with a creamy element; moderate carbonation
Overall: Lacks some of the complexity of the 2012 but still a nice Flanders

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #71 (December 2012):
The sheer rarity of this beer makes us get the giddy goosebumps, 240 bottles … that is it. Just from the first sniff clearly told us they should be walking down this path more often. A few sips in and it started to get a bit mind blowing. Nailing this style is not easy by any means, kudos to Natty Greene’s for taking it on.
STYLE: Flanders Red Ale
ABV: 6.5%
AVAILABILITY: Limited
LOOK: Slightly hazed reddish amber, light but sufficient lacing
SMELL: Noticeable tartness, woody, faint vanilla, sour cherries, brown apples, minty, bread crust
TASTE: Smooth, creamy, tart, baked spiced apple, tart cherries, mouthful of wood, ghost-like vanilla, earthy, nutmeg, chocolate mint, toasted grain, bone dry finish

Copper red tones to the brown body, cap fades into a ring quickly. Smell really lets the wood from the barrel show beautifully, with brown sugar, slight hint of spice, cherry skins, barrel funk, and apple supporting. Lacto, currant, brown bread added to the base, cherry and oak carry this beer. Feel is heavier and darker in complexion for style, but drinks smooth and full. Nice, imagine age would bring out subtleties
