not even sure when or where I got this but I've definitely had it for a while. decided to pop a few things taking up space and this one fit that bill.
dark sour...nose is overwhelmingly sour. taste is that of a mediocre flanders. little dry but mostly lacking flavor and personality. kind of like soured water. not my thing.

Appearance: Pours a mahogany color capped by an ecru head that quickly grows rocky; splashes and streaks of lacing abound
Smell: Lactic dark cherry, funk and oak
Taste: Lactic dark cherry forward, with growing funk; the malt from the Buckshot amber is slightly discernable through the middle, with the oak influence and sour tones building through the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body and creamy; moderate carbonation
Overall: Loved the 2012 and was slightly disappointed by the 2013; the 2014 is a much more complex brew and will likely age nicely as the funky aspect develops

Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at his tasting.
2014 vintage.
Pours a hazy brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour with grain, fruit, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour malt, fruit, and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with an aroma that has slightly better sour aspects than the taste.
Serving type: bottle.

This has improvement over the 2013 edition. Wood is more expressive with the funk and cherry playing friendly with it in the taste especially. Dark fruit, lacto, a hint of musty bread round out, much more depth than 2013. Feel is again darker and heavier for style, but instead of being out of sorts it makes this a dynamic attribute with the interaction with the sour oak. Nice work here NG!
