Appearance: amber in color with a 1" head. Some light lace paints the glass.

Smell: caramel and a bit of fruity sweetness comes through.

Taste: caramel, toffee, some dark ripe fruit sweetness, and a mild earthy tone create a mild mannered amber ale.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout.

Overall: a decent sessionable beer, but overall can be a bit boring after two pints. Nothing great, but nicely drinkable.

12 oz bottle served in a Unibroue snifter.

Pours a crystal clear brown-amber with a rather small beige head. The head mostly disappears quickly. [3.75]

M: near medium body and carbonation. Very smooth.

AROMA: Plenty of medium malt, with toasted grain and caramel.

The aroma is basically duplicated by the flavor [3.75]. Nothing fancy here but also nothing amiss, just a straightforward amber with plenty of caramel malt flavor. Not a beer geek beer, but an excellent choice to help steer newbies into craft beer.
