12 oz bottle served in a Unibroue snifter.

Pours a crystal clear brown-amber with a rather small beige head. The head mostly disappears quickly. [3.75]

M: near medium body and carbonation. Very smooth.

AROMA: Plenty of medium malt, with toasted grain and caramel.

The aroma is basically duplicated by the flavor [3.75]. Nothing fancy here but also nothing amiss, just a straightforward amber with plenty of caramel malt flavor. Not a beer geek beer, but an excellent choice to help steer newbies into craft beer.

Pours a pleasant amber color with a nice frothy, slightly off-white head. Carbonation is strong and evident in the pour.

Smell is very muted. The slightest bit of grain/caramel sweetness, but thats about it.

Taste is a little more full than the smell. Slightly sweet upfront then followed by a little bit of earthy hoppiness and ending with a hint of an adjunct-type aftertaste. Not a bad taste though, mind you, just not as rich as I might like for the style.

Mouthfeel is good for the style. Full and smooth, easy to drink. Drinks more like a lager than an ale really.

Overall this is a decent beer that is easy to drinkwhile maintaining a decent-enough flavor profile. Would be a good "conversion beer" or for good for outdoor parties/tailgating.
