12 oz bottle poured into pint glass.

A: Poured a reddish brown color with a fingers worth of head that settled to a ring with little to no lacing.

S: I'm getting lots of spices... Cinnamon, caramel, sweet malt and ginger seems to be the strongest things I'm getting... Smells a little like a pumpkin ale.

T: OK, it starts off sweet with caramel up front then all spices all kick in... lots of cinnamon and ginger... There is a herbal bitterness at the end that balances out the brew.

M: Medium bodied, it is smooth yet crisp with a fairly high carbonation.

O: Very nice... Little more Fall like than Winter warmer... But overall a very good beer from Natty.

Fairly good Winter Warmer. Pours a fairly dense murky brown color with light coming through at the bottom of the glass. A real hard pour produces a medium size light tan head with less than aerage retention.

Aroma is holiday spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, not too over-the-top.

Tastes good. A lot of winter warmers pile on the potpouree on top of a weak, watery beer. Red Nose is based on a robust malty beer. Bready malt, brown sugar and molassas. The spices enhance rather than overwhelm the beer.

Mouthfeel is rich and slightly sweet. Spices are very welcome on the tongue.

A nice winter warmer. Just the right level of spices on a rich beer.

Dark amber, almost brown, pour with little head and no lacing. Nose is quite faint but of dark malt and alcohol. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Somewhat smooth mouthfeel. The taste is pleasant and so well balanced that it is hard to identify the individual components. It consists of a light spiciness over an equally light dark malt sweetness. The finish is smooth. A good choice to introduce someone to craft brewing - a very good beer that doesn't over accentuate any aspect of craft beer.

The appearance is very appropriate as it has a cheery red hue that is perfect for Christmas. The head was fizzy and loosely knit but it laced well and stood strong.

There seems to be little in the scent but a sweet malt body such as a cherry wood.

The flavor is outstanding with huge winter spices and dried fruits. The cinnamon and nutmeg are at the forefront with some ginger and peppercorn. The prune, date and raisin are softer and back up the malty side of this ale.

The feel is smooth but it does have some sparkle as it drinks like a Christmas cocktail.

The beer is mahogany and murky with a thin beige collar. The aroma offers a heavy dose of malt, caramel, brown sugar, light spice. Molasses and holiday spice. A tad sweet. Light to medium in body with pretty low carbonation. This one is ok and enjoyable on a cold rainy day.
